I only really heard the track from The Beach soundtrack,
Snakeblood, and I really liked it. The only else I've heard
is a few tracks I downloaded, one I liked is Renagade
Soundwave.

Who hear likes them, any recommendations?

Get 'Dusted' by Leftfield.... it's got Roots Manuva in it,
and he's really cool :-)

leftism sound quite badly dated as an album, rythem and
stealth still rocks: get afrika shox, dusted, phatt planet
and possibly a swords d'n'b remix. a final hit is hard to
find but very good (sorta like if boc did LFO)

jingle

i really like them... but... man after afx nothing really
makes me feel the same ( apart from ae, boc, sp, u ziq..)

leftism is a pretty good record, a perfect 9/10, but
rhythm&stealth is quite disappointing.... 7/10 anyway of
this sort of things I prefer of course the aphex twin

I saw them live with Utah Saints supporting. Very good gig.
They did this messed up think where they had a fast high
pitched alarm in sync with sub-audible bass so it gave the
impression that the alarm was causing the "bass hit". Very
dis-orientating, but cool. It would have been mad if you
were drunk/high!

Rythm and Stealth is pretty good innit? Better than I
expected, but I like that dirty banging technoey stuff they
do.

(better late than never I say... I got it cheapo 2nd hand)

good so by extension I'm assuming that the originals are
good. I know Phat Planet is.....

It's a real shame they broke up, they were wicked live,
never felt such bass in my life. I still see Paul Daley
playing at Fabric now and again, he is a superb Tech house /
Techno DJ.

havent heard rhythm & stealth but leftism is a classic,
right up there with in sides in my opinion.

i saw them live a couple of times and the bass was
ridiculous. the intro at one of the gigs was 2 mintues of
pure bass. i love the story about them taking thier own
sound system to brixton academy and making plaster fall from
the ceiling.

definately a shame leftfield split up.

leftfield are very good and still important in my opinion,as
well as orbital and underworld.it's not afx that's sure, but
leftism is a good techno trance album and it's not dated.i
recoomend it to all fsol fans.rhythm and stealth has not the
same power but it's a good electro album reccomended if you
like tls'tiny reminders

Props to leftfield for breaking some serious ground in the
dance scene with Leftism. Apparently they had to stop a
performance dead in its tracks, after high levels of
sub-bass began shaking ceiling plaster on to the crowd!

I personally enjoy Rhythm and Stealth better. It's got some
killer dub tunes. Leftism is a classic, but it's a little
too commercial for my tastes.

I've got their first album, which I bought only because I
had heard of them once before.
It's pretty good, not really 'melodic' but with nice rhythms
and soft beats (perhaps too soft?)...

It's suppose to be real good for it's date, original and
stuff.

already was, liked 'open up' when that was on mtv ages ago.

Listening to Snakeblood right now, so thought I'd do a
little look-up. This past week I heard 'Afrika Shox' quite a
few times in obscure places.

Anyway, Leftfield without a doubt were a big impact on the
dance scene for quite some time...sad they split. I love
both of their albums, but I think I'm a little more partial
to R&S. If you ever want a bass tester use their song 'Phat
Planet.'

Leftfield are class.

I like them, the album Leftism is the best, there were a ton
of thier tracks used on the "Hackers" volumes 1-3
soundtracks.

By the way, you can get both of their albums from
ColumbiaHouse if you're into that membership stuff.

rhythm & stealth was a long time in the making and in the
end wasn't worth the wait. there's some nice stuff there but
nothing great. leftism is one classy album, one of the best
of the 90s, especially song for life.

quite a coincidence i bought leftism the other day but i
haven't really listened to it yet cos i was worried it
would be shit.
i thought (for some reason) that it would have the track
from the guiness advert on it (with the surfers). is that by
leftfield? and which album is it on?

as a lot of other people have said:
leftism is great (i dont think its dated THAT much).. i dont
listen to it all the time, but i have a big revival every
now & then. works better as a whole than individual tracks.
but tunes like 'song of life' are very good.
wasn't as impressed with r&s when it came out. think its
more of a grower.. more an album of decent individual tracks
than a cogent whole (opposite of leftism i guess).

not too sure why anyone's comparing them with afx.. sure,
its electornica/techno.. but its not at all the same style.
in its own right, still better than a lot of other artists
who tried to make the same kind of techno records.

thanks for reminding me of snakeblood.. gone to dig out the
beach ost..
