 | we're currently struggling hard with xltv2..... it's all going very well and we're excited about the implementation
of a few new techniques.... oh yeah, baby....

the concept is more or less designed already, but there are
 always room for suggestions/improvements/additions of
new/existing features.... so please feel free to add your
"last-chance" suggestions in this thread.... it could be
almost anything you wanna see in the next release of
 xltronic.

some of your suggestions MAY already have been suggested and
implemented... but how could you know?

so, minor or major suggestions - post them here.....

 | i could be most happy if there was a News section [ xcellent electronic music news from around the globe, new releases,
either from big labels or good net-labels ] and it was
 updated every day.

and if each and every release in the discography section
 contained media/samples.

oh, and please, someone tag the tracks played on the xlt
 radio properly.

i think any new cool features are alright and awesome idea
as long as the old cool features work perfect.

 thank you and good luck

you have ICQ and AIM, why not add MSN to the profile?

"spoiler" tags.. a box (preferrably a div) with a content
only made visible by clicking or mousing over a link.. this
would probably have to be by some "proxy" tag (for instance
"asfdsadf" and then that would be
translated into the proper tags later), as you probably
wouldn't want to enable divs and mouse events for all
 users.

quote tags. italic just won't work on its own all the time,
as it can also be used to put pressure on things...

 | The official giginger suggestions:
Export to excel feature for your recordbag. I could possibly
help you with the code for that as I have it on a system at
work. It's a wonderful thing too.

Time restricted post editing. Just 30 seconds to edit your
post to correct a spelling error or something. That 30
seconds includes the editing time so you've got to be quick
to edit it. No leaving it to be edited. You can only edit
once. No deleting of a post. Ever.

Post filtering. I'd love to be able to filter out posts by
certain users. Topics too. If I could tick a box so I don't
see their posts then that would be a great feature.

Can't think of any more right now.

 | I have a minor suggestion: could you add a link that goes back to the messageboard from members' profiles. I see
there is a "back" button, but that often brings me to "last
posts" if I was looking through posts.

 | giginger: it will be possible to export/save your recordbag in XML-format. it's possible to import XML-files in

allows you to use the file in other enviroments/applications

 | Next giginger suggestion round:
File attachments to posts. Would it be possible to have file
attachments to a post for a premium members?
There could be a maximum of a 10meg global setting for file
attachments. To stop the place getting littered up the
attachment could be valid for 14 days from it's last
download or something like that. 10meg is a good size for
someone to attach a track they've worked on or a sample mp3
of some bootleg they've found type thing.

Signatures. Please don't make them available. I'm sure you
won't but I wanted to get that in there just to be sure.

An expanded profile info. Maybe a way to add your own
fields? Say, I could add 5 extra fields of info to my info
page so I could link to another site I have as opposed to
just the main one. You have mentioned a user blog feature
though so maybe you've covered that already. Sort of.

Attached photo viewer. I'd love to be able to browse the
photos I've already attached to the messageboard. Maybe even
be able to add them again without re-uploading again. I know
you have the random viewer but surely there could be a small
extension to that so that all pictures starting with 341_
 could be shown to me?

None of these things are major but things I've thought
 about. Hope they make sense.
I'm sure there's other things that've popped into my thread
 at times.

Ah yes! A little button so you could mark a discog entry as
having some wrong data. When you press the button a box
appears which you fill in the missing info to. If
appropriate attach scans and then that's sent to you/discog
editors e-mail to be corrected as and when. This isn't
direct user editing of the data. Just flagging it as
 incomplete and giving the info.
If someone just presses the button and doesn't attach the
info then nothing gets sent. No point marking it as
incomplete if they can't give the info themselves.

 | I was going to suggest somthing like that. File Attachments, like if someone has a new song and dont have a hosting site,
here you could attach them for all of us to hear and comment
 about it, like we do!!
I think the "Blog" part was already said months ago. That
should do it for me, of course, apart from everything thats

 | A bittorrent tracker
... This will help everyone share the xlt radio casts which
have been fantastic...and other things like aphex twin
 live.

If no one has the effort to make their computer into a
bittorrent tracker, then i'll do it myself.

 | My two cents:
 * New visuals. More variation in colour would be nice.

 * A little area that sums up the music artists that post on
the board, with a pic, short description and a link,
 something simple like that.

 * No more irony on the board (just kidding)
