i can't read french, but i can't see a name of the performing orchestra on that page.. they're probably shite recordings.
and mozart is not boring music.
it's simple, but beautiful through its ingenuity. you especially realise this after sitting down and listening to some concerti while studying their scores.

if this is the same thing, i've never heard of either of the performers:
# Performer: Christian Ivaldi, Noël Lee
but it seems as if this product only has 2 cds.. and none are pieces for more than two performers. so it's unlikely to be the same. can you tell me who the performers are on the cd box-set that you linked to?

i know someone who offered this to someone at christmas... the orchestra and stuff is listed on every cd on the back, every cd is in a paper slipcase and they have different colours, organized so it makes some kind of rainbow inside the box. the latest cd is a cd-rom of liner notes.
...actually it made me think of a herbal tea box, beause of all those little thin coloured paper bags.

some classical music is fine, but most of the "old" stuff like mozart does just bore me. apparently Stravinsky wrote experimental aphex-style classical in 18th century rusia, but i havent heard any.

yes, but goshdarnit, mozart was a richard d james of his time
well maybe even with pr craziness but as ive come to understand from people who've studied it he was groundbreaking with compositions. this is the whole idea behind classical or "academic" music: that it explorers new grounds. that's why you won't be added to the canon when you make music like mozart these days.
i don't like mozart music because i don't, too happy and sweet mostly and otherwise just not my style (i prefer haydn of the wiener classics, maybe because he's most unknown, im not without blame). but i have been stupid enough to not like mozart because he's so popular. im pretty sure amadeus wouldnt have liked his oeuvre to be raped into 10 hits on classical fm either

oh and the outbreak at the premiere of stravisky's sacre was prolly staged so he's the twin alright (but alot of the theme's in that piece are ripped from russian folk songs and richard would never do that!)

and yeah i think i have that same recording - rachmaninov plays rachmaninov is it?
it has all of the variations on a theme by paganini and one of the piano concerti i think, but not only does my recording have bad sound quality (naturally), the cd it was ripped from was obviously scratched to fuck as well. gay!

What I like most about mozart is the little "dialogues" in the music.
Just listen to the first movement of Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, KV 364.
