Valentin Silvestrov changed my life. I just got Arvo Part's
Lamentate the other day and it bowled me over, nearly as
good as his work from the 70s.

i don't know if i am, i don't know what is considered
"contemporary music"...

It's classical music but of this century. For example
Boulez, Varese, Stravinski, Xenakis, Berio, etc.

That genre is called "comptemporary music", it's not my
fault.

Those composers are hardly contemporary. Most of them are
dead. We are in the 20th Century now.

Proper contemporary shit = Michael Edwards, Anthony Pateras,
Charles Wuorinen, James Dillon, Joe Maneri.

Warlock, Gorecki, Reich, Paert..

but what torture garden says is correct..

so what's the new term for it? 20th century classical
music?

(and by the way, torture garden, we're in the 21st century
now)
