Wikipedia could've helped you, you muppet.

I've only been to Bristol once. Met some blokes, sure one of
em was ginger. Maybe even GIginger.

You don't deserve fish, you deserve a punch in the throat
and a hot cup of milky tea poured over you

what county is bristol apparently in? ive heard stuck-up old
bastards from bristol getting angry when people say it is in
"avon" and they say its in "north somerset" or "south
gloucestershire"

I always preferred Bath to Bristol. When I went to Glasto I
would stay in Bath, it beats sleeping in a Tent!

You have the "girls dating jock asshole phenomenon" in the
UK, too? I thought that was exclusively an American practice
born out of 80's films about nerds getting their heads
flushed down toilets and then getting shut inside lockers.

Bristol is really good for music, The Cube Microplex must be
one of the best venues in the country.

Bristol is ace, I lived there many moons ago, back when Roni
Size and DJ Krust used to play Lakota and other clubs fairly
often (though I wasn't too into d n' b, more a techno kinda
guy). Great music and club scene, excellent city all round,
has a real sense of community that you just don't get in
many cities these days.

Interesting fact: Portishead are a band named after the
small town in the area surrounding Bristol ... shame I
wasn't around earlier as this might have been your ticket to
getting in this girls knickers.

Got to say though that the locals speak in pretty thick
accents, like "oo-ar" and "i've got a brand new combine
harvester", which is pretty funny if you're not used to it.

Still got some of my best friends in the world in Bristol,
will always love that place.

argh dammit, that portishead fact would have got me in there
faster than tridenti to a tin of spam.
