Flawless albums dont occur... well they do just not in this genre. Who is to say what is bad and what is good? Everyone has different tastes. Everyone appreciates different aspects of music. I feel like ranting. I stopped listening to aphex for about a year. Last week my cousin wanted to hear milkman so I threw on rdj album. Something sparked. His music has a genuine and bizarre synth/melody style, and I still can't call it. It's abundant on icbyd and rdj album and scattered throughout all his other UNBELIEVABLY ORIGINAL albums and eps. feck eff. |

yeah, RDJ is a perpetual favourite of mine. while polygon window and some of his other stuff has become dated and was never really that original, RDJ and ICBYD are really original, nothing else like them before or since. amazing stuff. |

" -virginpusher Flawless albums (in my opinion): Autechre-Confield Autechre-Gantz Graf Autechre-Garbage Chris Clark-Empty The Bones Of You Proem- Socially Inept Those are the "IDM" albums that are good through and through, each song a masterpiece. Aphex has certian songs that are just godlike, but at the same time he releases a lot of trash. Like the analord series, and most of the RDJ album. So while he's definatly in the top 5 artists of the genre, his albums rank nowhere close to the one's i've listed above, IMO |
