Yeah, fantastic show for the first 6(?) series. Except it got pretty shitty straight after their large break and the new sets and the new Kotchanski (sp?) became a main character. Shame that.

It was really good until the last three or so seasons, I think they ran out of good ideas and the charictors got annoying

ooh ive just recently got back into it (ive always loved it).
been watching all my dvds and it really is awesome. and yeah, the show, series to series, it just changes heeeeapps.
but series 7 they got rid of Rimmer! and series 8 they brought him back plus like a gillion other characters.
+ those two seasons are no way near as geniously written as the rest of the show : (

excellent show, haven't watched it in years though.
love the humour and the writing, but if you don't watch the show thoroughly you can get confused.
i remember the episode where jfk shot himself... very interesting.

3-6 are best, 1-2 not bad, 7 ok in parts, 8 awful, didn't see 9. Movie in cash hell, probably sucks anyway.

I think the two things that ruined it were:
1: Rimmer's departure (Although his Ace Rimmer vs the Nazis scene was amazing)
2: The lack of a studio audience... Their performances became polished and as a result, the rough edges that made the show great were lost.
Damn shame... Bring on 'Horsemen of the Apocolypse'!
