Koyaanisqatsi

You have to see this if you haven't.
A visual montage of scenes with a musical score by Philip
Glass
Absolutely breathtaking.

And in other movie news, Jaws "a bit scary" and 2001: A
space odyssey has "great special effects".

the first half of jaws was really boring, but the second
half, when they're on the boat hunting the shark? that
really rocks.

the whole of "Jaws" is great, now let's never discuss the
subject again.

Jaws was a typical american documentry. Totally
sensationalised. I preferred the BBC's Blue Planet.

I like the 3D one, they took fear to a new dimension.

I think, after George Lucas successfully updated the
original Star Wars trilogy with humorous things going on in
the background and seamlessly integrated CGI fx, I thikn he
should be let loose on EVERY OTHER film ever made, including
Jaws and Koyaanisqatsi. Just imagine what he could add to
them with today's technology?

I agree. Its my favorite work by Glass.

Now go watch Powaqatsi, and Naqoyqatsi.

good idea. perhaps this way films like "the matrix" trilogy
can finally be improved by digitally removing all the bits
that were part of the original films and replacing them with
funnee internet films lol

after each "The End" in every film

could be found, at least).

I prefer Koyaanisqatsi to Naqoyqatsi, personally. But both
were good films to watch with some friends and a spliff.

I had never heard any of Philip Glass' work before seeing
those movies, and I think I've only heard it one other time
since so I have no idea how it measures up to the calibre of
the rest of his work.

exceptional footage and slick editing techniques at display.
but it failed to keep my attention.

people seem to be under the impression that philip glass not
only scored these movies but also directed them.

how odd.

That slow-motion launch at the end was cool. Also, that
scene with the waitresses made me laugh. I managed to dig
up the lyrics. LAZY_TITLE
