I think its time for an upgrade.

These geeks at work were talking about set-ups, and they
asked me what I had, I just said "A PC."

Geek: "Well, what are it's specs?"

Me:"What is.....specs?"

dunno...someone on this board mentioned something about
specs in the context of working out at the gym

anyways, that intel-logo looks better than the old one.
(it's probably been designed by the classy folks at
apple...)

damned apple-fuckers. they're supposed to release
intel-based imac in 2007. my new g5 imac just arrived last
week....fuck-it, they'll have to take it back :(

Apple, are they the ones in loads of different colours? I
think I saw one on the telly.

well the logo is glossy and it's black, it can't be more
obviously done by the apple people.

after the trouble i had with Apple, i wouldn't touch these
with a bargepole
especially since they will not be able to run PowerPC
compiled binaries that require G4 code

goodbye Digital Performer
goodbye Peak 4
goodbye optimizations for Reason running under G4 /G5 chips
goodbye Virtual PC (but then again you don't need it if you
can dual boot....then again, it is handy running
Windows under VMware in Linux)

well i can certainly tell you that having a one month old
PowerBook 17" G$ that literally gets hot enough to cook an
egg on after only having been switched on for 15 mins
(running from bettery power might i add) is definitely wrong
