i think my comp slows it down, which makes it easier. the
movement is stopstart and when i release the mouse the blue
pieces move much faster.

very addictive, anyway.

There's 5. Yes me too. But Matthew Barney releases them like
limited prints of artwork - ie making a handful of copies of
each film then selling them to galleries. So its really
annoying if there's no exhibition in your country. There is
a DVD of The Order, which is a segment of part 3, that might
be worth getting if you're really interested, thought its
rather obscure and slow, especially without the commentary.

I've seen Cremaster 5, it was at the Tate Modern for a
while. It is very interesting - very Bjorky, which is
ironic. Its very luscious and pretty - there's lots of
strange symbolism but it can be appreciated for its visuals
etc. I really love the costume design, its amazing. The
website is really worth a look LAZY_TITLE.

Pomme actually got hold of a DVD bootleg of the entire
cycle, though God knows how he got that. And he doesn't seem
to be around much these days :(

I saw all of them on a film festival a year ago. Parts 2 and
3 were really great. On the other hand, the one about
ovaries-zeppelins and the one with the testicle race around
the man island were just too boring. And I got nothing out
of the symbolism of the part which took place in a
bathhouse.

There is DEFINATELY witchcraft afoot with those getting 30+.
Mimi is skirting witchcraftery with her boastful 28, but the
rest of you are not of the human race. You must have crap
computers, cos it is literally impossible to conceivably get
more than 30 for me.

About Cremaster... I really recommend looking at
cremaster.net. It has all the synopsises (synopses?) of each
one, and a tree of characters. There's some really
interesting characters actually, that you wouldn't know from
watching the films - ie Harry Houdini, Gary Gilmour, Johnny
Cash (none are made to look like the person they represent.
Cremaster 3 is full of references to Freemasonry which you
wouldn't pick up on unless you are familiar with the
mythology and traditions of their history. The main guy in 3
(the one in my picture) is called the Entered Apprentice,
which is the first ranking a member receives when initiated
into the Freemasons. You really need a guide before even
approachin these films, although there isn't one, so its
bloody hard :S

Here is a picture of Gary Gilmore, as depicted in Cremaster
3:
