Aphex on Top Gear is as rare as HIV in the gay community.

They seem to have a deal with Warp as there are a hell of a
lot of different Warp artists featured. Ae and BoC are very
common.

It's "At The Heart Of It All", the track he did for NiN.

Amon Tobin is also very common. Maybe it's a deal, but it
could just be a guy in the studio with a preference for IDM.
Ot fits very good, no doubt about that.
There was a reality show shot in my city called The Bar.
Some producer often used strange music as background for
interpersonal clashes. Fantomas from "Director's Cut" was
his favourite.

They use it because it's not well known. That's my
reckoning.

I don't think the presenters themselves like electronic
music though. Does anyone remeber their "car music"
competition?- it featured heavily on rock and various heavy
metal offerings, not one trace of electronic music :(.
