It seems like the title championship candidates are well
spread all over the groups.

England will scrape through get to the semis and get beaten
hoorably like every other world cup apart from 1966 which
was lucky reffing!!!

It wouldn't matter if you were grouped with the under 14
girls teams of Luxemborg, Vatican City and Monaco. You'd
still get sent home early. Tear your sleeves off put on some
really tight shorts and pick the ball up!

Just be thankful that you qualified Canada sent their under
14 girls team.

The Germans haven't really done anything worth to mention
lately, they might gain some extra strength because the
championship is in their homeland though. Other than that
there is nothing to worry about.

To make football (soccer) more interesting I think that if
by half time there is no score they should release hungry
tigers onto the pitch. That should get rid of international
'safe play'

offline Aesthetics from the IDM Kiosk on 2005-12-09 17:00 [#01797210]

Realistic play time would make soccer more interesting.
(like ice hockey)
Also a 2nd referee behind a camera which can redo improper
decisions of the first referee, or things the first referee
didn't see, would make football more interesting.

To be honest the fact that there is just one referee and two
linesmen makes the game a bit more interesting. It is always
good when someone gets away with something, Maradonna's
'hand of god' is a classic example. I don't know what you
mean about realistic play time but if you are suggesting
that there should be constant stops like hockey, I would
have to dissagree. The whole stopping and starting of North
American sports is really annoying and rugby league.

If the Tunisian defence play a blinder that could undermine
the Japanese leading to a sense of unrest in the semis, my
money's on Sweden not doing anything spectacular and another
team winning.

Pretty happy with Englands group, and it's nice to see
Brazil in a potential 'group of death'. I really do think
England have got the best squad I can remember to win this
one. Seriously. As long as they all stay fit and disiplined.

group us with brazil and whatnot just to get us out as

Yeah it's a tough group, I hope Holland will survive...

010101: It's not good when someone comes away with
something. It can change the course of the game.
With realistic time I mean that everytime when the game
stops (free kick, corner, throw-in etc) the time should be
on hold.

Victory shall be ours, as usual.
And then Costa Rica will wipe the floor with our team.
