Hi folks. Got 10 new disparate tracks for download, as none
of them really fit in with my ideas for the next record.

[Stream all]

Airweight
Bluebottles
In Waves
Indivisible
Passing_Landscapes
Petl
Sylph
Time_for_the_Gallery
The_End_of_the_Rise
Vegas

Cheers,
Chris. :)

the moment, sorry.

I'm not really sure to be honest. They ought to be up for a
while - a couple of weeks at least, maybe more if my
bandwidth holds out a little longer.

Brilliant stuff. Bluebottles sounds quite different to your
usual work, that squelchy bass is great.

ochre: you said in another thread you're taking up full time
employment, which means less music making. i assume it's to
do with financial reasons rather than wanting to get out of
music making?

if so - christ it sucks that somebody like yourself can't
making a living doing this stuff; you're easily one of the
(if not, the) most talented musicians here.

Chris - Always appreciate your music. I'm grabbing these and
will give them some plays for my work travelling next week.
Will be in touch :)

Oh, I'll still write music when and where possible,
definitely. Plus I might actually be able to upgrade my PC
or get a synth or something now that I have a little income.
I never expected to earn any money through music, so any I
do earn is a nice bonus. Cheers for the kind words. :) Like
I say, I hope to have a new EP/album ready for next year
sometime, so I'm not finished yet!

I'm not abusing multiple accounts, I'm just trying to use a
single online username (my initials) for the various forums,
musical or not, so I don't have to remember so much.

ah, fair move. still, it'd be nice to do this full time,
no? :)

these are some pretty nice tracks - thanks again for
sharing.

i shot you an email a while ago but didn't hear back - are
any of your releases on vinyl? i couldn't find much info on
your site - 12" are mentioned on the shop but there's
nothing under it (which is why i ask - must be a reason why
the category is there).

offline xf from Australia on 2005-11-26 07:34 [#01788015]

also: if bandwidth is a problem, why not make this a proper
net-release album? there's enough quality tracks and
content to do so.

perhaps organise it into some kind of coherent
flow/ordering, and release it on a label (if you feel happy
to do that)? that way it'll get mirrored elsewhere, such as
archive.org etc - no strain on your server.

Shit, sorry - I must've forgotten to reply to your email. Oh
yeah, I've got some 12s left of the SSB EP, but I took them
off the shop as most folks who want to buy are from the US,
which stings with regard to postage. I need to set some
proper rates for that shop by weight, as at the moment their
set to fixed CD rates. Also, I'm out of mailers + card
inserts, otherwise I'd happily sell you a copy. Arrgh.. and
I can't get in to town to get some more either. Maybe during
a luch break or something.

Yeah, full-time music would be nice, but that's not
realistically going to happen. I bet many Warp artists still
find it tough to make ends meet.

cool, just shot you an email about it.

re: artists struggling - yeah, can imagine - sucks, really.
i'm convinced the current method of distributing music is
entirely broken.

Well, once the interest dies down (say, tomorrow) the
bandwidth won't be an issue - I just didn't want to push the
limit for this month, which might be a little higher than
usual. I normally have loads to spare so I'm sure it'll be
fine.

I might give a net release a go if I can rustle up some
exclusive material to add to the existing stuff, but to be
honest I like having all my free mp3s available in one place
under my control.

I didn't have time to listen to these until now, but I
second xf - you are without a doubt one of the most talented

version :)
