I want to be sure not to miss any awesome IDM albums, those which can be qualified "classics", those that evertbody recognise as masterpieces.
Feel free to complete this little list :
Aphex Twin - SAW 85-92, Richard D James Album Autechre - Confield Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children, Geogaddi

Heard it too much to really like it that much anymore. I always skip it now on my laptop.
It is good, but not for me I'm afraid. Seems like a bit of a novelty to me nowadays.
Nannou is better in my opinion, but thats me...

nah unfortunately not. it was posted here a while ago, on yousendit. don't have it on the laptop either.
the beauty of it is, however, that you can recreate it yourself, without even having DJ TDN's own mp3! Just open two instances of winamp, load one autechre song into one, another into the other (i'm sure tridenti will tell you their names), and then hit play on both winamps!
as i said, genius

I agree FULLY about Black Dog, Bytes, the Rising High 12", the early works, and.. anything other than Temple of Transparent Balls/Walls really as, I can't kind... of sit through that, apart from Cost II and The Actor and the Audience, and both those tracks are on the ep so....
The two A.I. comps, obviously. The Rephlex/A.R.T compilation "Philospophy of Mind and Machine"
B12 - Electro (Soma) and Time Tourist

Temple of Transparent Balls is underrated (i reckon).
Early +8 material is quality too, but that isn't really "IDM." But then what is?

It's an album I always think must be better than I think it is, and every so often I try and listen to it properly, and on comes Mango that goes on forever and just being annoying, and I switch it off. But,... I will try again today, maybe skipping... Mango.
