2003-2005, two years full of great releases. The more famous musicians from Warp/Rephlex/Planet Mu and their last LP released on these labels (apart analord who are eps obviously).
But which one is the best in the opinion of xltronic community?
I think our board has best ears of the web... now just a simple click and vote!

Isn't it a bit weighted in the area of Analord?
11 eps from me as opposed to 1 album from the others?
VOTE ANALORD anyway.

Spokes: it was pretty good, but somewhat forgettable. nothing really new compared to other Plaid releases from what i remember.
Sheath: i don't have it. i almost bought it though, but i bought another album instead... (don't ask me which one, it was long ago)
YosepH: i remember liking a track (maybe the title track, if there is one) but finding what i had listened from the others (including "I Love Acid") just average/kinda boring, so i didn't buy it (nor download it nor anything).
Billious Paths: i can't say i paid attention to this release... nothing i've heard by µ-ziq caught my attention that much anyway.
Ultravisitor: good stuff.
Analord 1-11: i just have three tracks in mp3... two i downloaded from a ftp someone had posted here and one someone sent me... my first impression about them was "meh". i listened to them again recently and i found them rather good. but whatever, i haven't listened to them since then anyway.
The Campfire Headphase: you know what i think of boards of canada don't you? kinda nice but not mindblowing, always the same, gets boring so quickly. next!
Untitled: i only listened to it on the Warp site... i like "Fermium". don't have the album though, the other tracks didn't impress me that much. anyway it's too close to what i already have (and too seldom listen to) by Autechre; i didn't get Draft 7.30 for that same reason.
the only Warp release i'm really interested in getting right now would be Smash by Jackson & His Computer Band... what i've heard sounded good.

Fermium was good, but you should hear to Untilted with more attention in my opinion, there are others tracks you might enjoy as well, like "Lcc" and "Sublimit".
I thought as you when I listened to them for the first time, but just give it some time, because Untilted is an album that will grow with time, as all autechre's stuff.

1) i already have a lot of stuff by Autechre. too much compared to how often i listen to them. far too much...
2) even if they're good and i respect them, i almost never listen to their music now. i do it when i'm really in the mood - and that happens once in a blue moon. when i'm not completely in the mood for it, it just bores me.
3) trying to give it 384 listens before appreciating it "entirely", like some people here do, is a ridiculous in my opinion. i can give an album time, a lot of time, but not dozens and dozens of unenjoyable listens.
4) i'm too busy discovering awesome new artists that bring me more aural pleasure, much more "easily" and more quickly than Autechre anyway.
Fermium was instantly enjoyable for me and i'm glad i've heard it; but i'm sorry, i'm not getting Untilted just for that.

oh, and
5) no Autechre album has ever "grown with time" for me. i just like them or not depending on my mood.

Good explanations, I understood all.
i do it when i'm really in the mood - when i'm not completely in the mood for it, it just bores me.
Agreed, me too.
trying to give it 384 listens before appreciating it "entirely", like some people here do, is a ridiculous in my
opinion. i can give an album time, a lot of time, but not dozens and dozens of unenjoyable listens
I usually don't do so, I listen their releases for about 3 / 4 times, if that doesn't work and I'm not able to enjoy an album, it means I'll re-listen to it maybe after one year or so.
But if I like it quite soon I usually need 3 listens because to be honest I rarely like an autechre's release with the first listen.

What does "between followings" refer to? The fans that "follow" the music or what?
