perhaps we should concentrate on one artist....really think
about his work...IMO!

i love van's art gallery. i was there for the rembrandt show
last fall.

anyone ever seen any Chuck Close's stuff? he does
photorealistic paintings. he paints them by grid and he
paints the same portraits over and over but with different
processes. like he did some portraits using thumb prints
that look like real blown up photos.
his stuff is most impressive when viewed in person though so
if Chuck CLose's exhibit ever comes through your town i
highly recommend it.

Stelarc is attempting to describe the concept of self
through technology. I worked quite closley to him when I was

chuck close is cool...i tried doing a self portrait in his
style for my drawing class..
using grey paper dots from hole punching photo copies..it
actually came out pretty good...though i never finished
it...

very nice. I liked how the trees looked. Flawless! There
were even strips of the white outer layer of bark peeled off
to reveal the darker bark!

I have had my Artist of the day, in fact I had two!
Who wants to show stuff today.

I have been trying to find a good Rebecca Horn site but
can't find a really good one.
