I hardly ever watch TV but I've been borrowing my roommates
DVDs lately. Here's my list, in no particular order:

Farscape
Lexx
Freaks and Geeks
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Arrested Development
Undeclared

lately i've been stuck watching Arrested Development. It's
the funniest show on television. hands down

The only stuff I watch, other than hockey, is Lost and
pretty much everything on History Television and the
Discovery Channel. So that would include Mythbusters, Daily
Planet, Ancient Discoveries, History on Flim, etc, plus all
the miscellaneous war thingies and technology thingers and
you know.

Ironglung- I made a Mindfreak topic the day it debuted...
haven't watched it since but I enjoyed the pilot. I gotta
catch that again, that guy's a flaky cheeseball doofus but
he's good at what he does.

agreed my friend....I have to say IMO, the "BIGGER STUNTS"
of the show are kinda corny. I enjoy the small clips of his
magic inbetween.

Those r great.

Have you seen any recent episodes?

Seinfield is indeed a classic. OZ was great, vulgar and
indecent, but great.
Myth Busters is pretty wicked too.

damn, almost forgot to mention six feet under, which is
absolutely spectacular.

brian griffins worms: "yknow, im only a week old, i know
nothing outside of this dog's stomach, and yet i still find
six feet under pretentious."

so yeah, i forgot family guy too (including the new season
and the movie. its not as ground breaking as the original,
duh, but still funny as hell) drawn together is a new
favorite as well.

arrested development isn't only dry humor. in fact, alot of
the characters are too 1 dimensional for dry humor. a lot
of it is just straight up laugh your ass off moments. i
think you have to watch a few episodes and get to know the
characters... then it becomes awesome.

offline rarndaraki from from from from (United States) on 2005-10-27 17:25 [#01763297]

okay so upon re-reading that, 1 dimensional characters are
usually used in dry humor... BUT, it's still funny god
damnit.

I think to fully appreciate Arrested Development, you have
to watch the first couple of episodes to really understand
the situation of the family.

The Family Guy
Buffy
Angel
Lost
The OC

before you judge arrested development based on one episode,
I suggest renting the DVD and watching the entire first
disk. You will come around.

The slow-mo Tobias (David Cross) reaction shots are THE
FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen.

Also great acting and characters all around.

I love when Gob and Buster dance to their song. By the
coffin, on the stage, it's always good.

also when Tobias dresses up as the house keeper and calls
himself Misses Featherbottom. hahahaha

oh yea! the best part ever! When George Michael's
girlfriend Ann is with George Michael, Michael, and Gob in
Mexico. Gob asks Michael Bluth,
"who is that girl?"
and Michael responds,
"that's George Michael's girlfriend."
then Gob says
"What, is she funny or something?"
and the camera zooms in on Gob's face for just a split
second and he's sooo serious. oh my god
you have to see it

it's not funny at all explaining it. my bad.

I love Sex and the City, mainly season 3 and 6 though...it
took them a while to really pick up any steam but once it
got going it was great.

I am a die hard Sopranos fan, at least up until they wrote a
shitty season 5. too bad.

America's Next Top Model Cycle One was good for some reason.

21 Jump Street, obviously, and I don't know why.

Aeon Flux.
