by the way, I think a thread like this should be a pinned topic, because there are new members all the time but depending on their page settings they may not even notice this thread. I think a permanent welcome thread for the newcomers would maybe cut down on people making an account and not posting. unless it isn't intimidation that is causing them to not post (but even then, how can we know for sure?), in which case disregard this entire post. |

I used to do those stats threads... registered accounts: 6601 active accounts: 4048 the diference here is due to deleted accounts (trolling...) and also due to some registered accounts that have never been activated or confirmed after registration... you know when you are sent a mail and you have to enter a keyword or something to be activated... I dont remember how this was here as I registered like 4 years ago almost out of the actual 4048 active accounts: 2767 have made at least one post this means that : 1281 active accounts have never posted or even voted in a poll yet (31,64% of active accounts) __________________________________________________ and out of the 2767 that have made at least one post: 1948 have posted less than 100 posts. this means that only 20,23% of the 4048 active accounts have posted more than 100 times. __________________________________________________ actually only 317 members have posted more than 1000 times which means that the real regulars here are not more than a 7,83% of the 4048 existing acounts which speaks truth about my thought that this community is really composed of no more than about 250 regulars data confirmed by the people that vote in polls very week. (apart from those who dont like the polls) __________________________________________________ any doubts or questions? |

that was awesome! thank you very much nacho the statistician :) where did you get those stats from? just long hours spent catologuing the entire user list? tridenti: I'm from the US, haha, so I don't have any excuse for less than perfect english. When I am writing (as with pen or pencil) I pretty much always use perfect grammar and punctuation, but when I'm typing on the internet I guess I don't pay as much attention... but I'll try to do better so that people learning english, such as yourself, won't be learning from improper models. :) |
