watch the movie 'Live From Pompei'
It is an amazing Pink Floyd live session recorded at an
ancient ruined stadium with nobody there except the band and
their crew.

also,

It has a lot of behind the scenes footage of them recording
Dark Side of the Moon in the studio.

very very nice.

I heard Coldplay in the supermarket today, "The Speed of
Sound", as I was passing the bread I thought "God, I fucking
hate Coldplay, how can you make three albums of the same REM
+ U2 empty rock rhetorical hyperbole?" and by the time I
got to the electro-domestics I was thinking "Hey, the lyrics
aren't that bad".

has to say about it:

Tom Plays Dark Side Of The Moon In Its Entirety

i think it's about a half an hour into the program or so.

How come theres been no mention of The Wall? Because it was
so media-soaked and marketed? Cause if thats the reason (and
I'm only guessing) than well, listen to it, it's brilliant.

Actually Nacmat made a thread the other day saying how duff
it was. I agree, musically it's weaker than Budweiser.

Haha, they ARE a kind of mind infecting brain worm brand of
music. If that guy didn't sound so much like Dave Matthews,
I could almost see myself accompanying my mom to one of
their shows.

If you rent The Wizard of Oz put Dark Side in your CD player
and as soon as it goes colour press play and turn your TV to
mute. You will find that certain parts of it are in sinc.
and have a brand new appreciation for the medium of Pictures
and Music. The same works with The Grease Soundtrack and the
Movie - Dune, press play as soon as you see someone with
blue within blue eyes.

Great stuff

ha ha ha

I read the whole thread and no one had mentioned the Oz
thing. What's this board coming too?

When I was a student it was either OZ/Darkside or a grainy
pirate copy of Clockwork Orange after the pub (if you didn't
pull)........

I'm none too familiar with The Faming Lips, but that dark
