I have listened to the clips, and there's some good sounds
there. Kinda reminiscent of WITBOAS Snares... I like it.
Track 2 sounds ace.

Who's Wisp?

If I'm being told to preorder an album then I expect to at
least know the artist. Having listened to the samples it
sounds a bit like a clone of snares. Seeing as snares makes
about 2 releases a day we don't really need any more of it.

> Who's Wisp?
Wisp is a musician who hangs around on watmm. Its probably
fair to say he's one of the very best people to post tracks
on the 'EKT' boards there.

He's put out many net-release albums, and recently got
signed to sublight on the recommendation of Aaron Funk
himself. Usually his music is not much like snares though,
more afxy/squarepushery

A few years ago he did some remixes of SAW II and aphex
recently played one of the mixes in a DJ set (the one in
italy, i think)

you can hear some of his net releases here:
In a blue face
fungus flap ep

my favorites are 'About Things That Never Were' and 'SAW II
Reworked' which were on the TavCOM netlabel but I dont think
they are online anywhere anymore.

You know what I like is the track A Letter In The Mail from
Blue Face. It makes me feel like happy little fairies are
running up and down my spine injecting me with their tingly
fairy juice.

well thats a first. ive gotten the afx comparison,of
course.. spusher comparison.. boc.. u-ziq. But Snares is a
first. In all honesty, thats gargabe. I wont really argue
the other comparisons..because its useless. But i sound
NOTHING like Snares. damn.

anyway.. if you dont d ig the music. thats cool. dont buy
it/listen to it.. whatever. I have put in alot of work in
promoting, and its now paying off.. so i am pleased with my
work,to an extent. i appreciate all of the crit that i have
recieve. thanks to anyone who is still listening.

I can honestly say I hear Snares type things in there. I'm
not saying it's bad I'm just saying it's nothing new for me
personally.

I will look out for some of your other stuff as I've never
heard of you before but if you do a range of styles then I'd
like to hear the rest.

You leave Mrs Bohner out of this!

She does stuff the other girls wouldn't.

ontopic: I've not listened to more than two clips at random.
In fact all the clips. I take back my snares comment. I
managed to choose the two tracks that sounded snaresy. The
rest don't.

I care so deeply about music that I can't but help
despairing loudly when I hear someone recreating some
fucking genre that they had no hand in originally, and doing
nothing new with it apart from maybe watering it down. Just
because something is classifiable as music doesn't make it
untouchable. I hear quie a bit of stuff here that I think is
genius, but generic 3rd generation IDM doesn't get me
reaching for the ol' pay pal.
