i think its like this: when i was 9 years old, i thought
that "blue da ba dee" song was really rad because it had
some cool electronic bleepty bloop noises.

then i listened to some "idm" a bit later and i
realised wow, eiffel 65 is stupid, i am an idiot.

then i listened to lots of music that is better than "idm"
and realised oh, 'idm' is pretty boring.

my point is, right now some people might be saying "oh my
god boards of canada are revolutionaries they are combining
electronics with guitar so perfectly!" when, in reality,
combining electronics with guitar is totally 80s mmkay

yeah but why get so hung up on the guitars? Honestly, the
guitars are the least influential on my opinion of this
album. They probably could have used a fucking harmonica as
long as they maintained the other qualities that i love
about this release.

if there were no guitars it would just sound like everything
else they've done. i just find it all very gimmicky,
personally.

Dude.... TCH is a fucking "chilly" album, which is the
complete exact opposite of everything post-rock. There's no
urgency in Boc's work, no sense of nihilism or any kind of
apocalyptic feel.

Chill out dude, Goran is like that, it takes a while before
he sees the beauty in some music. By dissing the artist he
builds a certain kind of respect that'll sneak in to him
after a while. ;)

See it like a boomerang, he tries to throw it as far as
possible and when the boomerang is at the neutral point it
comes back with high speed and hit him real hard.
