I noticed some people here were complaining about it.. but
since I hadnt heard any of it I didnt read much of what they
had to say .. I'm wondering why people are coming out
against it at all.. unless it is too - I dont know - boards
of canada or something?

campfire headphase is definetly one of my favourite albums
atm.
when i first heard i thought i would never be able to listen
to older boc again : P but then i listened to geogaddi and
realised its more twisted. and i never minded all the short
tracks until listening to new boc : S

that's the only one I heard, and I was greatly disapointed.
Not because it wasn't good (it was), but because it was boc
following up geogaddi.

There's swing, samba, waltz, latin, jungle, 4/4, breaks,
funk, hip hop beat, and the boc rhythm which they invented
called plod. I can not get into their new album. At least
the early ones had kids laughing and discernable melodies. I
even like their synth sounds better in the older stuff. My
opinion only.

it is inevitable.

every known genre of music will sooner or later be infected
by breakcore.

you leave a cd unattended for about a week, suddenly Leonard
Cohen's soft, sultry singing will be accompanied by a tinny,
manic (and shit) drumtrack.

I liked the new BOC album, even when the mistery and
pedophilia tracks are gone :(

maybe the guys have been listening too much City Centre
Offices releases. It is soft and tender.

Now many will remove the dust from their old acoustic
guitars.

i'm not expecting much, maybe that's a good thing. the
general feeling i have is that the duo are getting older so
they're bound to lose their "magic" and whatnot. Satellite
Anthem Icarus sounds way tooo new agey, and just plain dull.
although i really shouldn't be basing my opinion around that
one track when it could even be a fake. BOCtober.

Honesty I just said that so we can all shutup about this and

it's worthless. You make better music much more intetesting
than this drivel.

I have heard the new album, I have to make an admission in
that i downloadfed it because every other fuckwit was
talking about it. While i apreciate the sentiment being
someone whose opinion i respect. I do actually really like
the album but i don't think it will have the staying power
of music has the right or especially for me geogaddi. It has
tracks which i will listen to quite a few years from now but
it's no geogadd which is as far as i am concerned is the
album to end all albums in this genre.

I am not dissapointed yet. Tears from the compound eye is
just a great as anything else they have done.

: )

*waits for the fallout*

I remember when many of you were dissing Untilted for the
supposed rhythm triviality and bad mix or something. Now
when I see many people here liking this crap, I totally
loose trust in people's judgement.
Stop fucking fooling yourselves.

generic new age chillout music in one of their recent

man, all this creaming for Geogaddi. I mean, I thought G
was great, don't get me wrong. But I didn't think it even
came close to MHTRTC. Of course MHTRTC was my first
exposure to BOC and also it has Roygbiv on it which is my
favorite track from BOC.

I just prefer the really organic, natural sound of MHTRTC
and IABPOITC, and now CH. G sounded much more synthetic and
digital but yo, i loved it still. But I thought G was an
example of BOC getting away from WTDB (what they do best)
and CH is a return to what I loved about BOC: music for
cruising around on a sunny day in the country. Smoking a
fatty. Windows rolled down. Wheels of my car stirring up
the leaves of a rarely traveled back road.

OK? WTF. WWJD?
