what band got you INTO music?

no, this not a thread about the first cd you ever owned.
there's several steps between discovering "music" as
appreciative art in adolsecence to the point of actually
finding your stepping stone into this realm of sound.

so, what band/song/whatever got you into music? made you a
music fan/critic/maker etc?

for me, it was PRIMUS, and the song was MY NAME IS MUD.

as for being an electronic/computer musician, it was Aphex
Twin's classic Girl/Boy song.

Kobong - "Chmury nie bylo", Primus was next with their
"Brown Album" (I still think it's their best work).

Phish - "The Divided Sky"

I was exposed to Bach way before that, but somehow I was
sodumb. Anyway, I am glad that I got feel the elationals of
Phishmusic when I did, because I was using marijuanae or
LSDs at the time and it felt so good.

A snipe is a large flightless bird that is very reclusive.
To draw one from it's lair, a snipe call must be performed.
This is acieved by clicking two rocks together.

dunno why that didn't work. anyways i'll forsake photos for
album titles:

pet shop boys - discography
jean michelle jarre - images
dire straits - brothers in arms

all three were my brother's, but i practically appropriated
them by playing them all the time. dthe first two were
leftovers from an ugly breakup between my brother (who is 9
years older than me) and his first serious girlfriend in
highschool, the latter was always his.

realized there was actually more out there.
