is now free - no registration required and no ads. I guess they were testing the waters when they recently gave away free regcodes. It's a good browser - I'm using it right now. Think I'll try it for a week and see if it can replace Firefox. |

I'm using it also, but I still have problems with some sites. For example Allmusic. When I move the cursor over an entry a discography section, the whole chart sprawls. Does it behave the same for you? |

i have good memories of opera i was using ie before it. but i see no need going back to it after firefox and i think alot of people like thier firefox, and opera are going 'fuck! we've got banners and registration, no wonder!' |

I'll give it another chance, I only used it before for testing browser compatability, like fucking 90% of their users I imagine... that's wild conjecture. However I've downloaded the new one, banners are gone, like Fleet I will try it for a week, but if it isn't as good as Firefox then, well, whatever. |

used to use opera, and found it very good; first browser i had with tabbed browsing. prefer firefox though... still, i do miss that feature it has where you can turn off downloading of images. works wonders for 56k.. fucking brilliant idea. |

yes, but opera has a button for it along the bar where the tabs for different opera windows are kept... so you can turn image loading on and off quickly and easily while browsing... |

ah, i've just found out that opera is faster than ff on my computer, and got an adblocker-thingie working with it too. feature-wise i've always preferred opera anyways. |
