I didn't actually mean to start this thread, but it was
something aesthetics suggested. I guess this can be the
official discussion, seeing as its only a month before it
comes out.

posting while Aesthetics is online :D

I take it everyone knows samples are now up on warprecords
so you should be able to confirm whether or not any of the
leaks are genuine or not?

Personally, I'm waiting till I have a proper cd/vinyl copy
in my possession before I listen...

I like boc but not a big fan... I know some of their
releases are genious (hi scores and mhtrtc) but most of it
sounds the same to me... anway its nice to listen to.... so
is this any diferent?
or any good?

or there is a slight chance that you are incorrect.
Considering the samples are up at warp i believe.

i think it's great. rather different to their last albums...
still, there aren't as many clever ideas in each song, or
nice floaty melodies.. but it's new boc and it'll do.

i'm happier about this than i am about the analord series
(overall).

before making this...

Finally listened to it a few times after it sat un-opened
for a couple weeks... To be honest the only one I care for
is 'chromakey dreamcoat'. The rest is really predictable
though and nothing else stands out to me. Well mixed though
I'd say.

haaaaaaha yeah i agree on the 'fuse thing..... but prefuse
has much better beats than boards do at the moment.... where
is the crunchy shit from music has the right damnit?? theres
nothing as tight as sixtyten or as lush as roygbiv........
that said its a nice record and all but i just find the
sheer potency of MHTRTC hangs over it....i've only listend
about 20 times , stoned/drugged only 3 times , so i still
cant say for sure whati reckon.....untilted is only starting
to make more sense after a while.

im far happier with analord......at least its something
different for afx...

i think surrounded by silence craps on the campfire
headphase , and this is from a BoC fan.

offline acid_polic3 from london (United Kingdom) on 2005-11-01 17:08 [#01767391]

100 times....in less than two weeks! i think i've only done
that with drukqs perhaps....... even then 50 would be
closer.

having listend to it so many times what do you think of it
in comparison with the other stuff BoC have put out??

a 100 times.......if only i even had the time!

triple post sorry , but did anyone get the poster? they just
gave me two stickers even though i bought it on vinyl
damnit.

I like 98 album best. I have researched Zero Point Energy
and relative to Boards of Canada. It is actully stongest in
"Campfire Headphase"
My result is on: http://www.apg-j.gr.jp/home_begin.html
Sorry, no english site yet!
