xltronic downgrade....?

for some reason XLT is being displayed with all the links
in the standard blue-underlined format, not displaying
certain users avatars, and having weird margin errors with
the frames and other html trickery. is anyone else
experiencing this? I use the latest version of IE, and I'm
not experiencing the same problem on any other page. Don't
suggest mozilla firefox because I don't like it.

sounds like you're not properly getting the stylesheet for
some reason. reload/refresh and stuff.

also, get firefox.

Xltronic Unwritten Rule #267:

Never, under any circumstances, demand that another member
refrain from doing something, for he or she will invariably
do exactly that.

no way, get the compilation (official release you can get
from warpmart) and youll see

You know, I looked at the album profile in warpmart, and the
only thing they had to say about it was "we decided to help
these guys out with distribution" and all that told me was
warp was doing watmm a favor and didn't want to lay their
name on the line for distributing it, otherwise they would
have said something like "warp records is pleased to
present" or some shit like that. If I can find samples
online, then I will stream it or something, but I am not
putting good harddrive space and bandwidth aside for
something I am pretty sure is going to annoy me, let alone
spend my own money when I should be doing stuff like saving
for an audio interface with multiple I/O. I rarely download
anything from anybody nowadays, so I aint about to go over
there to listen to some ammature musicians who scraped a
couple quarters together to make a professionaly published
cd. If it was one persons music, I will give it the benefit
of the doubt, but its not.

seems like you have trouble with the css-file....

(as for the watmm-issue - at least you don't have to buy our
music, we have like 15 xltronic releases (vibes) available
for free.)

You know, I know in this day and age where its so important
that everybody pat themselves on the back every time they
sit down and draw a stick figure taking a crap or other
artistic endeavors that are equaly as important, but fuck
there is a lot of crap out there. I would say this place and
that place are equaly as crap. but I never actually gave you
a crap ammount to rate my previous statements with, so for
all you know I could be calling them golden crap or some
other equaly valuable excretion.

I guess I still use internet explorer because I "grew up" so
to speak using it. firefox is alright but in my experience
using it on my roomate's computer, there were pages that
mozilla didn't display properly that I had no problem
accessing with IE. I suppose I'll get firefox, though. Not
having an avatar is starting to get annoying.

yeah that bandwidth and hard drive space is really expensive
and hard to come by these days, innit?

and you spelled 'amateur' wrong.

if you actually listened to any of the tunes you might not
think it's crap.

Me too, I have a bit of problems with firefox, for example,
when a person change his avatar I still see his old avatar,
I must delete all cookies to see the new one... Incredible.
Then when I must download a mp3 a lot of useless windows are
opened, something like: "All downloads complete" ; "You have
still your old downloads registered, do you want delete
them" etc etc.

I don't know if it's me, but I prefer Internet Explorer.

Anyway: Not having an avatar is starting to get
annoying.

What do you mean with that? You can't see avatars?

that's because ie is full of bugs and some webmasters
(hopefully less and less) code for ie's bugs instead of
coding properly, or use some features of ie that are not
proper html (microsoft's trick for getting ppl to use ie
instead of proper browsers). how can u use a browser that
does not use tags anyway? well i'll stop :) the more ppl
will use firefox (or other proper browsers), the more
webmasters will code properly.

Firefox is only more secure whilst less people use it.

I like firefox but you can't say it's a secure browser.
There's no such thing.

It's a better browser though.

In was using my phone and couldn't be arsed to write a
proper reply.

Basically:

Go through all the options in firefox. Carefully. You'll see
where you can change the downloads and cache etc.

Also, no need to do a delete of your cookies. If you can't
see the updated avatars then hold down ctrl and hit f5.
