Is the AFX/LFO split EP worth £5.50? I liked the Analord
series so would this be the thing for me?

no

it will be very valuable in 3014. other than that, no.

you could get some fairly big dildos for £5.50, or make
your own out of sandpaper!

It's a nice collectors item, but the music is mediocre.
Download it and decide for yourself

I think the LFO tracks are worth it alone to be honest.

what get's me going is the purple pvc-sleeve.

you can buy far worse records for 5.50, but far better ones
too.

So it's not up to the Analord standard then?

£5.50 is not a lot. If you like Aphex then get it.

Better point as the LFO tracks are better.

Flu Shot is good, dirty LFO electro at its best, and 46
Analord Masplid is like another Analord track which means,
in 6 months time you'll go "OOOOhhhh yes, now I hear what's
good about it". Whether that's a good thing, the mark of
genius or the power of wishful thinking, I can't answer.

if you remotely like both acid and lfo/afx then it is a no

listening to it today for the first time... yes it is worth
it... very much

lfo is much better here... but still afx tracksare great
too, above afx second track... but lfo is a much higher
level right now

I am loving lfo´s music more and more each listen... and I
might begin to suck my money in ebay for some lfo rareties

tracks on the EP?

LFO is WAY, WAY better than Aphex here..... Flu-Shot
rocks...

Good to hear the tracks on PSP (Wipeout Pure) too...

"lots of record shops in stoud? :) sounds like one of the

No, Stroud is bollocks. I go to Badlands in Cheltenham. They
had all the Analords but sadly, not this split EP. I'm gonna
chance it and buy a copy from Warpmart tonight, hopefully.

Anyway, in the end, I bought it through Warpmart and it was
delivered today. The only thing is, isn't the AFX side
actually LFO and vice versa? My cat. no. is 59307 1(A/B) WAP

It's be funny, if all this time we were saying the LFO
tracks were better, that they were, you know, because the
labels were switched, you see where I'm going with this...

offline futureimage from buy FIR from Juno (United Kingdom) on 2005-09-20 11:22 [#01728347]

Well, there were some copies on eBay and in the description,
it said that the labels had been misprinted....

is that so? or just a hypothesis?

cos the lfo side sounds really like lfo

the lfo side sounds like lfo.
the afx side sounds analordish.
you should have any problem to identify the sound,
so i guess you have one of the correct copies...

Well, the eBay seller seemed like an idiot (you don't need
10 pics of the same thing in different sizes in ONE
description). Maybe he just wanted the AFX side to be better
than it really is.

Yeah. It sounds better at 45 than 33.
