I love *all* past autechre, but this one... It's listenable but the magic autechre part left... that's the shame. I'm impressed how it received this success... given how much it's flat souding. It just sound so blank... The worst fact is that I loved Autechre more and more until draft, and now, with Untilted, that's the end, I hate this album so much I can't believe it's them. And I don't think it's involving time.. 'cause the first track of them I listened to was Parhelic Triangle, and immediately, even for the first time, I was totally astonished of how good their music sounded, it was the music I waited for so much time... but now it's interrupted. I'm waiting for a new ep to see if they are reallly dead. |

Well, the only solid evidence I know of that bears a link between Autechre and Kool Keith is the fact that two trax by Keith's alter-ego(s) are featured on Autechre Curated 3.0 (2003). On the first disc, a trac by Masters of Illusion and one by Dr Dooom have Keith's vocals. As for the phrase on 'No Awareness' on Dr. Octagonocologist (sp?), it might possibly be "jam like Autechre", though I can't confirm it. Various sites list it as , but they probably don't have a clue, as I didn't find it in the dictionary. |
