I prefer the shuffle the battery life is too low on this new nano. The shuffle is cooler because you can drop it and treat it ruff. I can imagine the screen dying on first contact to the ground. The capacity enlargement to 2+4gb is good, just means people are less likely to buy big "proper" ipods. |

What I mean by lame is that they are trying to milk everything they can out of they're ipod idea, nothing has basicly changed since the first generation of ipod's. As everyone is creating similar mp3 players and they may even be supperior to the ipod. But I understand that it's in the intrest of the company to sell as much of these as possible and milk everything they can out of this particular product. Thats just how shit works these days. But that is what I mean by lame. |

yes that is true. how many versions have they had now? i can't even count, and each "upgrade" has been pretty minor and/or a gimmick to get people interested again. i enjoy my ipod, but i'm waiting for a significant improvement before i buy a new one. |

same here, the nano and the mini are the biggest fucking rip off. You can get a 20gb ipod for the same price as a 4gb ipod mini, its fucking ludicrous. As for my relationship with my 20gb 4th gen, its pretty good. She survived and recovered from a sun cream spillage which temporarily disabled her wheel, but shes back. |

Apple really are scrapping the bottom of the barrel with the iPod these days... they should rename it and make a fully fledged multimedia player in your hand. Thing is, iPod is in danger of losing any identity.. is it a decent music player or a camera? The iPod's used to be 2 or 3 models of mp3 player. They should make it the best mp3 player it can be rather than all this extraneous crap. |

Check it out - bluetooth ear piece which has 50 GB storage in each cordless earbud and a full blown contact lens eyeball or stylish eyeglass (or sunglass) image projected controller that communicates with the ears. The shit would track eye movement as scroll wheel information and preset blink combinations turn the interface on and off and shit, as well as turns the whole sound off, etc. Fucking hire me Apple. This time last year I predicted Michael Jackson should cut of his hair, wear futuristic minimal grey clothing, and sing over top Autechre like beats and drop the next level shit.
