Bob Moog, the creator of the Moog synth, has died of a
brain tumor today. This may have already been posted but I
haven't seen anything about it, so I decided to post it.

Anyways, he made a good sounding synth. RIP

Thanx 4 the info :( I'm really speechless here, almost
crying because without his invention there wouln't be any
good electronic music, which, still, nowdays, the MiniMoog
is used to do some of the phatest basslines ever on
history.... May he RIP :.(

just read this on the bbc news site, a big shame -
especially as he'd only just got the rights back for the
moog brand, in 2002.

Even in his old age he was designing quality instruments. I
respect a man who spends his life doing what he loves and
does it until they carry him out in a box.

RIP Bob.

and he built custom-made parts for Raymond Scott.

I think it's great how these people knew and respected
eachother.

Shame, but he had a lot to look back on.

"Analog Days" has a great portion dedicated to him. Cool
book.

they had a bit on channel 4 news (UK) about him tonight with
a few clips of synths, Moog himself, a snippet from the
documentary.
I dunno if you can see it online or anything, but it was
quite good I thought.

have also died in tragic synthesizer-related accidents ...
my condolences to their families.
