what's wrong with my record :(

so i just bought this porn darstellar release on creme and
i listened to it once through with no trouble. now, i go to
record it into my computer and as i'm getting towards the
end of a2, it gets stuck in a loop and won't come out!

i figured, ok, freak thing, i'll try it again since it
played perfectly fine the first time through. well it
continues getting stuck in the loop.

so i try the next side. it plays well until b2, and then it
gets stuck in another loop at about the same position in
time as it did on the a side! could there be something
wrong with my turntable?

try playing it with the weight set at a lighter setting. I
had the same problem on my yoseph lp. sorted it out quite
nicely

If the arm is exactly the same distance from the centre
whichever side you play I'd check the arm. Try another
record. If you get the same thing make sure nothing has got
stuck in the arm joints.

thank you guys, i think i will just try it with my other
table first off before i screw around with weights and then
end up ruining everything

are you sure it's not a locked groove? ;)

another question: on my other turntable, i have to put a
lot of care into placing the needle onto the wax because
otherwise the arm will slide right off of it...do you think
there's some part i can replace to fix this? it's annoying.

ps: it must have been the arm on my other table, because it
didn't get locked into the loop this round through.

try setting your anti-skate knob to the same number as your
counterbalance maybe.

Set you anti-skating knob and tone arm counterweight to the
highest settings.

i played a gig using an old valve amp and blew myself and
the amp up on stage by plugging in it sent me flying and
made all my hair stick it up, it hurt but it was like
something form a tom n jerry cartoon
