I don't live in Bristol any more, but I'm only about 1 1/4
hours away so I might be able to make it. What time are you
playing till (roughly)? It's a week night so I can't stay
out too late :)

I haven't been to a gig in about a year (next one I have
tickets for is Prodigy in Cardiff), so I may well try and
get to this one. Give this a bump the week before to remind
me!

Unless it starts tipping down, I'm going to go to this.
Anyone else aside from Kado going?

Thank you v. much for pointing that out. I would have been
really annoyed to ride 120 miles round trip to get to this
only to find I had the wrong day :)

Woah sorry about that! there is another thread around with
the correction.

Im a bit worried about tomorrow to be honest. Not sure what
sort of crowd to expect, whether my stuff will suit the vibe
of the night....ah well if im shit we will just have to get
hammered and have a laugh.

Weather is lashing it down (I was planning on riding down)
and I'm going to be in work late tonight, so I probably
won't be able to come. Good luck and try to record the set
for us :)

Always the best way!

Judging by how work is going, it looks like I may be able to
come now. Kado, you've got mail.

It's on. I'll be there. Grab me and say hello Leonid (and
anyone else who's going). I'll be easily recognisable. I've
got a nasty looking red mark between my eyebrows at the
moment that makes it look like I'm emulating a high-caste
hindu and have gotten it off-centre.

Just got into work after going to this last night.

A great night and Xltronic was well represented. Our very
own Kado and Ochre were respectively the best DJ and live
act there IMO.I also stickered a cupboard in the b&b with
the xlt logo that will be on the xlt slipmats. Hanal, I hope
you approve. Good to meet the lurker, 'leonid_olusegun'
too.

Well worth the trip.

good to meet you 'Ceri JC', was good fun talking. Kado, i
enjoyed your set very much mate. there was mention of a
recording, i would be interested in getting a copy. sadly,
later on i had to get up and dance like i was drunk or
sumthin' :D

Curse that obscenely long breakdown in 'Freak', I'm aching
like a mofo this morning.

Re: The recording. I don't think Kado has checked the MD
yet, but it was plugged in.

Just arrived home from Bristol. We left the B&B at
11am....loads of delays + carrying a record bag with the
equivelant weight of a big sack of spuds on my shoulder for
miles....I feel knackered.

It was great meeting you guys "in real life" Sam, Rich, Dan
Nick and I had a really good time and felt a bit worse for
wear this morning, sorry I didn't manage to get up in time
to see you go Ceri, hope you made it to work on time.

Everyone who performed at the gig was great..there should
have been more people around to see it (thats the trouble
with it being midweek + rubbish weather i guess)

Chris Ochre was definately the highlight for me, he really
put effort into his set, using a cool handheld controller to
manipulate his sounds. Made it seem a bit more live than
the usual laptop/mouse/moodyface combo (a personal skill of
mine)

The visuals were excellent aswell (EWO/Utility
Player) the videos really suited the mood of the music. I
vote EWO for official BOC VJ!

I had a brief listen to the Minidisk this morning, the sound
is very inconsistent, as you guys know we had to battle with
the system all night and it shows in the recording
unfortunately. Quiet patches and big distortion - Mainly
during my set lol, my girlfriend thought one of the speakers
had blown when i dropped my first beat...luckily got it
sorted.

If I can't salvage the set, i might recreate it, or you can
just look forward to my XLT Radio slot which I will sort out
in the near future.

A big thanks to Boltfish for putting on the gig aswell
as the other artists from Rednetic and Toytronic.
Looking forward to the next one =oD

I had an excellent night, there was a great atmosphere,
relaxed and friendly :)

The quality level of the music was pretty damn good all
night, KADO and Ochre in particular did great sets!

Also Bristol is a lovely city, lots to see.

I got into work with plenty of time to spare, only took me
an hour to get home and I managed to get a cooked brekky at
the guest house!

Ochre's controller was the "micromodul DJ1", right? From a
distance it looked like was playing with 2 ps2 pads taped
together :) I might actually get some of those
PS2->midi/gameport convertors and make something for live
use out of a pad or two.

Fractaltrees: Glad I didn't wake you up when I sloped off in
the morning mate. Hope you didn't feel to rough, I spoke to
Rich before I left and he was really suffering.

hhaaaha, Rich was still pissed on the train home, he had a
ridiculous amount to drink!

I think the controller was the LV1, I remember the 4 knobs
at the top which he had assigned to effects, a nifty little
toy. I just remember us sitting there baffled saying "Is he
using a PS2 controller with Ableton!!"

The Medium Dan and Jimmy 90 sets survived. My set and Star
Delta's are not fit for aural consumption i'm afraid. I
will cook something new up for you all soon tho :D
