I'm disgusted with myself.

i know everyone here is too pretentious but the origin stage
was fucking quality and it never stopped. And Easy Star All
Stars on Sunday was one of the best things I saw, they did
quite a lot of their Dub Side Of The Moon covers, Time was
brilliant.

yeah i saw them, real good stuff, nice to sit down and relax
to. the origin stage was cool, but theres only so much
psy-trance i can take at one time. aphrodite was bangin' and
the breaks tent was always phat as you like. eat static
doing their chill thing was nice too.

i didn't spend more than 10 minutes in the breaks tent for
the second year, i find it so boring and lifeless

Origins was OK, but it was a bit monotonous. I said to
someone or people that I thought I was getting too old for
it all because everythning at origin and the breaks tent
ended up sounding the same all the time.

I was unimpressed with Aphrodite.

at afx/squarepusher sets there are always too many geeks
with cameras nodding their head and looking terrified of
ravers, and walking a wide perimeter around the origin crowd
scoffing and pushing their glasses back on to their nose.
have a fuckin stomp, you cunts.

badabump!

im with giginger...

great: mr 76ix (a shame he only had 1 hour for playing),
chris clark (live stuff, a couple of tracks from clearence,
wolf, shonny and some great new stuff), luke vibert
(incredible session, including some analord samples, xmd5a
and other, and mfm and myredhotcar).

ok: squarepusher (he was too obsessed with the bass, imo. i
dont get the point about listening to classic sp tracks but
with worse bass. nice solos tho...), cylob (really funny,
fenix funk samples)

bad: afx (he can do it much much better, we all know it...
some classic nice tracks: one from saw8592, polynomial c,
one i care, some analords...)

sorry if im repeating info...

nice fact: sp, afx and mr vibert used the same drum set in
their session, the one on demoticane co...

great weekend!

i didnt see xlt mates... well i think i saw giginger, but i
didnt dare saying something... i already was depressed
enough with my english...

To be honest i couldn't care less, i just like to see a good
show with some of the bass playing you can hear around at
the present moment in time.

Glade was the best thing thats happened to me, friday night
was the best night of my life.

Fav acts were

1 - Speedy J
2 - Richie Hawtin
3 - Squarepusher
4 - Easy star all stars
5 - Dr Alex Paterson

i missed the majority of acts in the little big tent.

Christ it was hot and alot of thieving from tents too

AFX and Luke Vibert used Afx 114, Squarepusher used Dimotane
Co. The drum pattern is the same though.

I was properly disappointed with ceephax's set, he sounded
really flat and dull. Squarepusher was awesome though, loads
better than the last couple of times i've seen him. Couldn't
really make head nor tail of aphex, was too knackered to do
anything but sit down and gurn after pusher and carl craig.
Those visuals on the screens at the side were ravetastic
though, excellent.

It was a cracking lineup and no mistake, the music was
great, but i felt like glade was more about the "atmosphere"
(maaaan), just so friendly and open-minded. It's shite being
back home.

OK:
Ceephax... just the right touch i thought... brill atmoshere
and better than last years afternoon slot

Milanese: excellent... totally wickjed live set and he gets
my artist-who-looked-liked-he-most-enjoyed-playing hat.

Shitmat: Less novelty and more jungle with him... quality
Scotch Egg: see above - just real good

Chris Clark:
One of the bestest... perfect mount of jungle/electronic

Squarepusher:
Crap sound, and i wasn't in the mood after a night of
serious tripping. I was all set to record it but wasn;t even
arsed doing that. If he was on friday, it would have been
different. I totally let myself down here.

AFX- it sounded good but i just couln't get in the groove
and the crowd were very aggressive. Same problem as SP.. i
was wrecked and just wanted bedways.

Luke Vibert:
Quality from start to finish.. classic afx, squarepusher,
prince etc

Hextatic:
Best opener ever: Spliciing "League of Gentlemen" with "2001
Space Odysesy" to create a converstaion between papa lazaroo
Hal and the astronauts. Best visuals all weekend.

Sasha: Best techno of the weekend. His buildups are wicked.
Richie Hawtin: Great stuff even if it took a while to get
there.

IdSprial Chill had the best ambient music ever... matched by
shroom buzz lurvely.

Me and the missus got it on all weekend and made some great
friends from Yorkshire in the campsite. We talked to trees,
found a frog, got sold some great drugs and generaly found
and lost ourselves together all weeeknd. We only briefly met
the xlt crew giginger, redrum and pOgO and didn't really
merge with em all weekend - a pity but you can't force
these things i guess. Every night had its own special vibe i
thought. Great food and the showers were spot on.

Defo going next year.

hey.. squarepuhser played about 5/6 new songs [new album?]as
well as Beep Street, Dimontane co, stenbolt, cmon my
Selector and a Burningng Tree one. He was very chatty
altogether and praised RDJ in the end saying he's leave us
in his capable hands. Pity i was fried.
