Warp
Boards Of Canada
We are extremely proud to announce that Boards of Canada
have finished and mastered their new album, to be released
in October - their first release since 2002's Geogaddi! The
album is very much classic Boards, building on themes and
sounds that can can be heard in their intervening remix work
for Beck, cLOUDDEAD and Boom Bip.

"album is very much classic Boards"

whoa! what were they thinking??

I'm REALLY looking forward to this. I thought Twoism was
utter shite, Music Has The Right To Children was average,
Geogaddi was quite good, so hopefully they'll carry on and
make a fucking outstanding record.

= )

I haven't focused on BoC enough as I have Ae, so this will
be a good opportunity.

It won't be bad of course, it will be good, but I don't
anticipate anything really great. They just don't seem to
be going anywhere.

thats fine with me, where would you want them to go?
Pop-country? Talented groups that stay consistent are good
because they are, well... consistently good

Where did you get this info? Not off WATMM, I hope.

I thought they were going to "go in a new direction", like
WARP said ages ago.

Seems like old formulas work the best.

I just want to contribute to the hysteria that is spreading
like crabs across the interboards. after 3 years of no-mark
"tributes" by the likes of fucking Tycho and fucking
Marumari to name but 2 of billions, finally some proper BOC
music by the only people that I want to hear making BOC-like
music, fucking BOC!

you really are the crankiest, bitchiest, whingiest gay_dad
around.

i wonder if the new BOC will contain more self conscious,
shallow references to religion and mysticism. also, will
they regurgitate all of their overused, repetitious and
predictable ideas on the new record? i'll bet they rename
"a few old tunes" as "a few new tunes" and call it their
"new" album...

copy of Tycho's latest.

Yeah this time they won't be able to pick tracks from their
previous unreleased work to include in their "new" album.
They can't do that anymore, we've heard them ;)
