hello,

i've been working on these "designer desktops" in my free
time, and i'm still learning the functionality of this type
of art form. let me know what you think, and feel free to
use them if you find them interesting. constructive
criticism welcomed!

here they are

i might as well link the individual files as well, sometimes
deviantart is a bitch.

- tuba noise garden
- earstruck
- messy brain

thanks dudes and dudettes!
luke

they do look very cool!

i tend to use desktops with a much simpler design, like
'earstruck'. might try using geoshell tho, so that no icons
appear on my desktop.

_gvarek_ , to answer your question; i just recently
returned from a very long jam session with the band, so
there will be lots more Suction Cups material, and
you can expect it all to be up to par with that piece. i'm
so very glad you dig it, that really makes my day!

and thank you giginger.

The pleasure`s all mine. I made a CD containig this piece
and wiil be showing it to my friends later this month. I`ll
hope they will enjoy it as much as I do. As for the new
Suction Cups: release this stuff quick, and keep us
informed!

it's pretty cool, took me a while to get used to it though.
You set all the preferences in the registry, which is odd,
but strangely satisfying :)

actually, most of the plugins have their own preference
menus built in now - which definately makes it easier to
customise the basic parameters.

I see there is as much taste in wallpapers here, as there is
in the music!

thanks KADO.

J198, thanks! i took a drawing from a friend of
mine, repeated it to make a new pattern, put a gradient fade
from the top to bottom to show light source, then in the
dark area above, i took a copy of the same pattern, inverted
it, and threw it on top for a strange shadow effect.

thanks guys.

i have another one, i might tweak it a little more, but it
looks good enough to use.

untitled

this one is a time-lapse photograph my girlfriend took on
the hudson river while we were attending a performance. i
manipulated it quite a bit and doubled the image to form the
shape of a heart.
