The "core" is what are considered Ghetto black areas that are more dangerous then regular ghettos. An example before i worked here, i met a plumber who explained that it is company policy that you lock the van and check it every 15 minutes. If you dont finish by 2-3pm you either leave or the company is no longer responsible for you. So far we had to close up shop due to near by gun shots and someone hassled me about my car (which is damaged) Nothing serious though. The traffic sucks because none of the people have learned (so it seems) to drive down there and people cross the road all the time and you really have to avoid them "If we cant achieve it, weave it!" (a sign near my work) :) |
