You're a rare one. Most people tend to abhor skin that dark, even black people! At least here anyways... Personally, I think people fail to see beauty in African features because they belong to people historically viewed as primative or savage as opposed to caucasian features which represent class, sophistication and grace. |

No no, supposedly what you say is true. People with mixed heritages are built with immunites like Bomb shelters! scientists have been stressing the need to blend the races for some time now, but people's pride still gets in the way. Me? yeah, I saw some documentary on that eye-surgery stuff... asian chicks that wanted to make their eyes rounder and that wanted [not sure about which was which, but for arguments sake, let's call asian eyelids "double" (they retract into the top eyelid or whatever) and caucasian eyelids "wrinkly" (they just wrinkle up).. anyway, they wanted to go from "double" to "wrinkly" to look more white] I also read an article (I think it was in the source, actually) about how african women "bleach" their skin to look more caucasian, and this stuff they used to bleach it was really acidic and damaged the skin, sometimes resulting in open, bleeding patches on the skin... it was fucking disgusting... |

Yeah. There's also the pressure from members of your own race. Nothing creates more tension then a black guy with a white woman around other black women. Talk about the evil eye! I remember flirting with a hot foriegn exchange student from Germany in class once. All the black girls just stoped talking and looked like they wanted to kill me. Yeah, I saw the whole thing on skin bleaching. I was pretty sad after I saw it! Because after the whole last century of whites (Boor's, was it? or Afrikaaners?) in south Africa, being black was like, disgusting, especially if you were dark skinned. I know what most of the Afrikaaner's there didnt do any of this stuff, and shouldnt be blamed for it. But that would suck to be an Afican, in Africa, and be treated like shit. As for the asain girls?
