yes.

it has a few nice tracks, but "geometry" works better as an
album, as a collection.

if you later find that you do like "geometry" more than
"spectrum", which is to be seen, you'll be happy to have
heard "spectrum" first, as you won't be constantly comparing
it.

what?

The track selection on Spectrum was designed to show Jega's
musical range which is hinted at by the album title. Plus,
the album cover is actually an art project he did in
college. I think his best tracks stand toe to toe with the
better known guys like Aphex or Mu-ziq.

i would compare jega or muziq with aphex... i think he is a
lot much better than those two artist, who (i agree with you
there) are similar in terms of the quality of his music.

personally i find geometry a better album than spectrum, it
is just a lot more interesting. thats not to say than
spectrum isn't a good album because it quite clearly is.

i would say its better to start with spectrum because it is
a good cd in its own right and geometry shows his musical
progression
did you get the matador release or the planet mu one? cos
dmc is replaced by unity gain on the matador version and has
a bonus track "naem" and the album is worth buying just for
unity gain which is a brilliant tune ( its also on the 12"
he did with mike p as well)

i would also buy geometry before spectrum. why didn't you
check the mp3's first? that's what they are for, some say.

I like jega but they don't "stand out" enough for me to give
them the time they probably deserve, and I think it's
because of hte mastering, it osunds a little faded and dull
to me,

it's also the reason I didn't give freeform a chance for a
long time, but now that I have I'm definitely glad I did, it
will probably be hte same deal for jega when I bother to
give them time

diference in tracks between cd or vinyl
