In the last months our loved board is passing a bad period of health. Everyday we see polemics, argues, insults, critics against mods, etc... This is my prescription to cure the board and start a new here: 1] - Three moderators + 2 webmasters are enough. Phobiazero should look between members who he knows better (I've nothing against actual crew but i think they are too much) and choose the bests. 2] - Moderators should be less tollerant with trolls who are offensives, who insults other members, etc... 3] - Delete this point thing with addict, lurker, etc... This is a serious board and it doesn't need these things. Deleting the points, probably we would avoid spam and stupid posts. 4] - Fight hard against double or triple accounts or we risk another 'clones" assault. \/\/. btw: don't say... 5] - Choose a better poll maker... :-/ |

1) No, we need the extra mods. As it is we're still not covered at all times of the day. 2) Yes. 3) That's only if people are stupid enough to think the points mean something. As it stands they're generally a good indicator of how much someone is here. 4) That's a rare occasion. 5) Maybe a selection of poll makers or at least everyone can submit one and you choose which you like and add to them or whatever 6) Yes, the search function. 7) BANZAI! |

well for example, the Michael Jackson court case. There were about 5 different threads on that which just spamed the board and caused a few insults to be flung around. Being able to delete your own messages/threads and use a search option would prevent that :) |

Moderators are needed to cover most timezones so just three isn't enough. Duplicate threads are not as much of an issue as duplicate accounts and trolling. Also don't blame the mods because some trolls get through the cracks. Comments about the size of cracks should be put on a postcard and sent far far away from here. Mods really need a couple more abilities to hand, such as the ability to insert a NSFW banner at the start of a post, or at the start of the topic title, the ability to remove selected avatars and images without removing an account or post or topic. I say this here rather than, say, in an email to phobs simply cos I'd like to highlight some of the limitations of mods for you lovely lads and laderinas. 5) we should all chip in and buy woofer an english spellchecker :) 6) stop moaning 7) start! 8) stop! 9) hammer time! |
