so the story goes that they were "drunk and on acid" when
they recorded that crap: WRONG.

i can let you in on a fact: Mike Paradinas has never touched
acid. Rich made up that story later when speaking to a
journalist because he was embarassed about the record. It
was recorded in one afternoon as a joke when the two of them
were mucking about.

little known fact: Mike Paradinas hasn't actually seen Rich
in more than 5 years.

"Rich made up that story later when speaking to a
journalist because he was embarassed about the record"

I think that's just speculation, it's not the first time
he's taken the piss on the media, and there's nothing to
suggest that he's embarrased about it

the horses mouth of someone VERY close to Rich.

"i can let you in on a fact: Mike Paradinas has never

acid."

"Mike Paradinas hasn't actually seen Rich
in more than 5 years. "

how do you know this?

there's no way the whole album was done in one day

i don't know why so many people here dislike this album.
where's your sense of fun? it's like a cheesy b-movie like
braindead, made "bad" on purpose. it's silly and it's fun.
loosen up!

why would he release it, especially on his own label if he
was embarrassed by it? was he contractually obliged to the
label boss (himself) to release it?

no.

maybe richard thought, "hmm in retrospect that album i made
with mike is a piece of shit, probably shouldn't have
released it at all. sure it was a larf at the time, but
now, the only thing it's got going for it is the cover
artwork. if anyone asks, i'll tell 'em we was doing acid
and vodka and such and such. that'll be wicked. and why
doesn't mike return my calls? it's been five fucking
years."

ps it really is a lame, half baked album. i imagine richard
baking chocolate chip cookies and forgetting to put sugar in
the batter, but all his fans are eating the cookies and
saying how fun and unique richard's cookies are.

which reminds me, don't feel bad about using imitation
vanilla in your cookies, trust me no one will know.

this album is killer, i wish i could find it--i still have
the cover but the cd is lost. the third last track, can't
remember the name, maybe not the third, but the one with the
rhoadse synth has an awesome melody, who ever did that, its
awesome, really improvised stuff... it runs all over the
place. i think it has a bassoon in there, just before the
bum bum bum bummm(the one with the voice) track. hehe. fuck,
i don't know. its good, shame its missing.
