there?

someone's going to laugh at you going "idm hip-hop"

probably. genres are fucked these days, anyway,
everything's a mix of several and it's hard to pin an
identity.

experimental glitchy hip-hop, then?

I don't know if that's worse or better, but...

anyway, I've asked for this before, and I got clsoe to no
recommendations. Apparently machine drum is kind of similar
sounding. Beans may be "idm hip-hop," but I don't know...

the antipop consortium stuff kinda. = The Isolationist,
Antipop Consortium, Beans, Airborn Audio.
Dj Vadim, too.

Murs had electronic beats, too, as far as i remember. but my
memories may be incorrect.

checkin'it. thanks guys, more suggestions are good too.

i seem to like fake-ass white boy hip-hop rather than the
real' deal', too, ece my current obsession with cex, but
anything's welcome.

not really idm hip hop, but try some madlib if you haven't
already done so. real good, kinda jazz hip hop. really good
loops.

or quasimoto - the unseen.

for some funny reason, i consider draft 7.3 to be
instrumental hiphop at its finest. listen to, say, the
gescom mixtape and see how well those autechre beats could
fit under and mc's flow.

also, it's not necesserily idm, but the anti-con group are
pushing the limits of hiphop as far as it can go. check out
clouddead, 13 & god, boom bip + dose one, themselves.......
its all good.

and at one point i saw the streets catagorized under
electronic for some reason, so who knows, it may fit what ur
looking for.

Push Button Objects

While

Machine Drum

Decepticon

Two IDM hiphop labels to look at are Merck Records, and
Chocolate Industries. The guys I just mentioned are off of
those labels, and are much finer examples of this style than
people like cex. Push Button Objects is more good for the
early stuff, but the newer stuff has a stronger 'ghetto
vibe'.

heard of any web artist. and of course, he makes bangin'

Glitch hop. great shit, they do a weekly show that can be

Suprised noone mentioned Cannibal Ox's Cold Vein or El-P's
Fantastic Damage. Those are usually the first two mentioned
when a thread like this is made. So umm... yea... those two.
Doom's been mentioned, but seeing this thread, I wanted to
suggest Viktor Vaughn's(Doom, of course) Vaudeville Villian
in particular. That is all.

free point... sorry...

Isn`t hip hop about lyrics?

Or, are we talking only about the rythm?

to do with h-h.

I was. It'd be hard to be 'IDM rap' lyrically unless they
were jocking RDJ's (or insert your favorite IDM producer
here) nuts. Well, I'm sure some rapper has done that in the
past.... giving RDJ 'props' and all that shit in their
song(s).

shit. oldskool beats too

want to drop names that = pure shit, then can ox el-p and
aesope rock are great suggestions.
