Are these tracks remixes of eachother?

oh, also.. why is analord 10 the only good one?

They are kind of "remixes", but I don't think analord10 is
the only good one.

yeah, btw- anyone notice how Lover's Acid blew analord's ass
out of the water?

quick question, sorry it's off-topic: what does 13 AND GOD
sound like? i just searched and found two reviews that ...
well, pitchfork. so to my sleepy eyes it looked like,
"bobdylandrdremetalchurchemowankwankelitistwank" so, brief
description, please? is it metal or indie rock or what?
that's all i want to know. thanks.

I disagree, I like lover's acid, but I think most of the
analord tracks are better. But that's my opinion.

i've only heard parts of analord ten. it wasn't
mindblowing, but i enjoyed it. but i'm glad i didn't buy
these records. i've got much better ones instead.

"hey grant, i just had a great idea for a scam that will pay
off my exploding-octopus farm..."

Calling it a scam is really not viable considering they are
classic aphex tracks that have been played live for many
years. They are also a lot better than much of the other
melodic-acid tracks in the same vein by other artists.

Haha :p But seriously, you should listen through Analord10,
I prefer a good vintagegroove over non-talented generative
"idm" every day of the week.

indeed.

r40f you really gotta get a mp3 copy of 10, at least, and
perhaps a couple of others, and listen closer..

Especially considering the amount of work behind the
complete hardware-setup versus a computer-based idm-suite
ala max/reaktor.

heh. my thoughts exactly.

get impakt's acidy track "Green_Lane_Radical_Club" as well
r40f, it's nice :)

fair enough. i wasn't really putting it down - i said i
didn't hear almost all of the songs.

"you really gotta get a mp3 copy of 10" i will not! sorry.

I'll keep giving it a chance. I'd like to listen to the
series in it's entirety and see what i think then. It's not
what I expected.

arf: 13 and God is a collaboration between Anticon's Doseone
and Jel (from Themselves) and The Notwist (ambient
glitchpoprock stuff). It makes for a really productive combo
that doesn't sound forced or contrived.

Really new and different sounding. hard to classify as
'hip-hop' or 'idm' or anything likethat. new music.

Hehe, more you say. Maybe I'll do a long edit :) But first I
have to finish up my acid-album for White Noise and another
generative idm-album I'm doing with a secret mate of mine :)

You should really take your time one day, make some
delicious food, something to drink (and something to smoke
if you're into that), then just chill on your couch/bed and
enjoy the food/music :)

Personally I find alot of the analords at least as good as
old stuff like crot, lego feet, Incunabula, Chaos A.D. etc
only it's a little bit more uniqe to me because of the
classic Aphex-melodies that I love so much.

And the BEATS!!!
Goddamn, someone tell me one exemple of drummachines beats
programmed like that, all those 16th notes grooving along
the odd accents and filter tweaks, there are times where 3
or 4 rhythmboxes jam along superbly!

Seriously i can understand it's not your cup of tea, but i
fail to see the comparison to old techno and old acid half
the time.

The beats are funky has hell, and the ones where he program
a break like it was an apache or what, simply mindblowing
drummachines work to my ears...

P.S.: i don't think they are remixes, just the same synth
and a few samey notes...
there's a perfect moment for going from one to the other
when the synth line is nearly the same for a few beats.

Yeah well the whole w32.mydoom track is pretty cool, there's
also like the bassline from "You Can't Hide Your Love" Aphex
remix from 26 mixes for cash.
