jesus that film sets up new standards for thrillers.

the idea of these riddles, fuckin gross, the girl with the
machine on head taking the key from stomach of a man, jesus.
really, Seven with Brad Pitt is nothing compared to
this film, everyone should see this shit to re-describe the
word torment. fucking hell.

yeah, but still when you forget about this holywood shit,
the idea of something like things that happened in SAW just
scares the fuck out of me. just imagine something like that
happening to you, for fucks sake.

japanese horror..there's this series of totally fucked up
films, snuff sorta stuff..

No movie will ever be more frightening than Space Oddyseey
2001 I think it is the ultimate horror film.

thats one fucked up shit aswell i didnt even looked at the
bottom of that page.

seriously, if someone likes this kinda movies, he must be
sick, i know the term or "provocation", like delicatessen,
but thats the border line after which everything more
explicit gets just pathetic and without sense. brutality has
its own levels and crossign them makes the brutality just
funny and extremely unreal.

*spoilers for anyone that hasn't seen it, maybe

Yeah I loved this movie. It seems unlikely, but it's
something that COULD happen and it's something that,
undoubtedly, some psycho out there would like to do to
people. Carte blanche to torment. It's not that farfetched
at its core. I mean you'd be hardpressed to actually get
away with all that and pull it off, but that's not the
point.

The tortures in this film stuck with me, especially the
headgear thing and And I love Cary Elwes... something a bit
off about his performance, a bit campy. Loved it. And I
cringed like a mofo when he sawed his foot off.

Yeah. I thought this movie was a second/third rate seven. I
don't care what people say about 'Hollywood' and such.
Cheese is cheese. And saw was a normal b-movie that was
marketed well.

Anyway, seven wasn't really that much of a hollywood movie.
It didn't follow a standard, it set it.

what's the name of the film in russian or ukrainian. maybe
not the direct translation because i haven't yet noticed it
anywhere here. but it's been mentioned here some months ago,
I think.

Solaris?

A movie in russian or ukranian?

2001 was mentioned. They are kind of compared with
eachother.

this movie (SAW) was absolute horse shit which is what to be
expected from a first time music video to movie director.
some of the visuals were interesting but for the most part
the entire premise/story is insulting.

solaris is regarded as the best non-english scifi movie ever
made..and it is. there was an american re-make a few years
ago which took a very different approach, the best thing
about the english version is the soundtrack and though the
movie doesnt suck its not comparable to the first.

autechre played the original Solaris into the challets when
they curated ATP03. i was too fcuked to notice how cool it
was so must rent it out..

As for SAW... i liked it well enough. Prefer 7 though as it
was a real corker when it first came out. Nothing will ever
beat my first view of "Blair Witch" - in the states, before
the hype, for scariest film ever.
2001 wasn't scarey at all.. just creepy and atmoshperci and
genious.

It was alright, not the worst movie I've seen.I don't get
why people think this is a scary movie though.
As for Seven, Seven had a great story(it was great in every
way) where torment was subordinate to the bigger picture of
it all, whereas this flick was just looking for a flimsy
excuse to film some scenes of torment and gross shit.
It's really quite easy to come up with most gruesome ways of
torture and whatever gross stuff so that really doesn't cut
it for me. Actually it's pretty lame if that's what's
supposed to do it for a movie.
If you wanna see feet come off proper I suggest you watch
Audition, which also happens to be a much better movie.

how come none of the images work at
http://www.mandiapple.com/snowblood/ginipiggu.htm

or any of the other official sites for the guinea pig
series?

strange. i think it's a conspiracy of some sort.

'saw' was pretty good, by the way.
