who wants to give their moderator job to me?

Are you tired of being a moderator, or are simply no good
at it *cough, dog belch cough*? Give it to me. I'm right for
the job. I will abuse power in unprecedentedly humorous
ways. But I'll never actually abuse abuse it.
Just stupidly abuse it. For example I will have a very
humorous post where I will start at '99' and count down and
give myself a temporary ban at '0'. Also I will have random
temporary bans for everyone else on approximately a weekly
basis. Also I will be humorously pretentious and constantly
refer to my rank and powers with threats and such. So if you
suck at moderatin' *cough, ophecks, cough, pomme* please
give the job to me. Thanks.

I think you'd suck. And at more than just moderating.

elaborate. I mean, yeah I totally agree that I suck more
than most people in many fields but I'd appreciate your more
in depth personal take on this matter.

That's what xltronic needs. That's what it's missing. A
moderator that really sucks, well I mean with the exception
of all the current ones. I fit the bill; I don't see why I
can't have the job. What does it pay though (it didn't say
on the application)?

Do you ever just sit around so bored you wished your
testicles would just start painfully popping just so
something would be happening? I do.

hmm... well, to be honest, my belief is based merely on whim
rather than any solid factual evidence. Despite this, and
baseless though my assertions are, I shall stick to them
like what you would not believe.

A very good point; being a long time thoughest poster, I
think I deserve an explation for my moderation rejection.

I would also start "clans" and side with certain moderators
at war with other ones. If you give me this job xceque, you
can be in my clan. It will be called... "The Fag Clan" and
our symbol will be a.. *sigh*... a.. well it will be
something awesome and the envy of enemy clans. As for
"normal"/non moderator posters; your lives are expendible in
this war and you must refer to me as a god.

That's how I accomplished the feat. What the hell's
wrong with phobiazero. I didn't get any sort of medal for
that or anything. That's why I stopped trying to be
"thoughest", you know? What a shallow respectless victory. I
used to be in 1st place but now I'm sliding out of 10th.

An excellent idea. And the winner would get w M ws hand in
marriage in a bucket. And by "excellent" I mean "shite". And
by "shite" I mean that this topic had better shape up and
act like it belongs on a messageboard.

well there is a job opening for a moderator - so maybe you
could put that on your resume and send it over to phobia -
always could use a thoughest poster as a mod.

I've never actually seen any TOS for this board and it seems
you can swear, talk about sex and drugs, go wildly off topic
all kinds of things with no recriminations, what do you have
to do to get modded?

I's not so much what you have to do to be modded, but what
you have to do to be B7'd, that's harder to define.

if phoby told us what the mods did that got them modded,
then we'd all be doing it, just to get modded, then we'd
revert to our usual unruly behavior after we get our
'powers'...thats why hes never told.

O.K. obviously it means something different here, on other
boards I've been on being "modded" means having your
topic/post edited or deleted by a moderater because it
defiled the terms of service for that board, this could be
anything from swearing to flaming someone (on Gamefaqs you
get marked for moderation if you mention the word Nazi, a
pain in the ass if your discussing a ww2 game).

Just wondered what on earth you would be "modded" for here,
this is a very liberal board.

Apparently if you say "84% of your posts a ban threats" you
get a temp bam.

Also having the name Big, Matvey or qrter gets you one too.

I think it depends on a number of factors in the "Moderation
equation", whether a post deserves deleting or its author
reprimanding is based on how long you've been here, the
quality of general your contribution to the board,
profanity/comedy effect ratio and whether or not there'seven
a hint that you might be someone famous or with access to
hard to find tracks, mixes etc. If you're someone like
BobMcBob, clearly not famous, likes Fatboy Slim, then you're
continually walking on think ice as a capricious mod, like
me, may at any moment ban you, just for a dismal internet
based power trip.

So basically we can say what we like as long as you like us
but if you think we're an asshole then we might as well go
and sign up with I-friends or something.
sounds fair enough to me ;)

Didn't I say I would? I can give you a bit of room and an
FTP to stick up anything interesting or of historical
interest you think the world should hear. I'd like a damn

you may well have said that actually, but I only visit this
board whilst at work so I might not have seen your reply,
sure if you wanna host it we can sort something out, it's on
cassette so the quality might not be all that, I can
probably try and clean it up a bit though, and there's no
tracklisting but I'm sure if enough people hear it one can
be put together. Oh! and it was her first attempt at a mix
tape so bear that in mind, it ain't DJ Shadow put it that
way.
But you have to host some of my own electronica mixes too,
that was part of the deal.

ever bored enough to do so and I can set up an FTP for you
to upload unmolested, at your leisure.

so you did, cheers for that, I'm currently in the process of
getting my homepage together but having a complete lack of
any sort of internet based skill I'm having to pay a mate to
do it for me and I'm not sure how long this will take.

The homepage was meant to be a platform for my own music but
I could provide links to the mixes as well, not sure about
that one yet, might keep my djing and composition seperate
in which case I'll need to sort a seperate page for the
djing.

But I'll keep ya posted anyway, can you give me the link to
the mixes?
