Saw them on the 24th when they came through here. Their
set-up was 100% analog - no computers. They came in, didn't
announce themselves, didn't say anything when they left,
they kept their eyes on their equipment the whole time and
did not even give us a look. they played for about 2 fucking
hours! just like that, and it was all uptempo near-junglist
material - much of it was not even on UNTITLED. But anyways,
they kicked my ass - my legs still hurt because i was
dancing so much and jumping up and down. Barely anyone there
was dancing - it was like me, and eight other people, all up
front. It pissed me off - why go to a show if you're not
going to enjoy it?

snd and Rob Hall opened - and they were both excellent. snd
was quite surprising - i'll have to hunt down something by
them.

100% hardware doesn't mean 100% analog i do believe. don't
quote me though, I don't make music.

to enjoy yourself at a show, you don't have to dance. you
can also take drugs.

only 45 minutes? jesus

yeah they played beats here for like, at LEAST an hour.
crazy shit.

you guys had it real different now that i heard from it
(judging from the SE1 show), the beat that has those 2 hard
hits and then that sliding/breathing rip sound is built in
with the dotty synth part instead of it being independent.
sounds phat.

I don't know how I did but I appear to have deleted my flac
of the SE1 show. I think I want to be sad.

Ignore that. I actually did a search on *.flac and it's
appeared. Don't remember putting it in that folder. oh I'm
scatty!

My copy of the se1 show is 74 minutes. Still seems shorter
than I thought.

it may not be the entire show; the person recording it
would've had a minidisc which only records 80 minutes max

what other flacs do you have, giginger?

i converted that se-1 flac to a mp3

i don't understand why the person who recorded that and
distro'd it did flac...it sounds like shit anyways.

i put it at 192k mp3 ; stupid to put a reocrding like that
at flac i dont understand it

and the guy who released it (the torrent) was like "DONT
CONVERT THIS TO MP3 , KEEP IT FLAC"

im like, why? it's a fuking waste.

At first I thought the same thing about my recording. But I
gave it a spin in flac format and lo and behold, the base
had NO distortion. The sound is noticably diffrent. That's
why the Richard Devine set is in flac. Same story.

offline giginger from Milky Beans (United Kingdom) on 2005-06-01 14:13 [#01619196]
Points: 26326 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

That's what I was thinking. I know I left about 10 minutes
before the end as I was crashing at a mates house and I
didn't want to take the piss.

what other flacs do you have, giginger?

Analord 10, Untilted and a lovage duet I was lovingly
given.

i converted that se-1 flac to a mp3

Same here man, the mp3 is on my iPod though and that's not
connecting to my computer so it's going off for repair. But
they'll wipe it when they do that so I was getting worried.
I shall now do another mp3 and actually put it in my
autechre folder.

i don't understand why the person who recorded that and
distro'd it did flac...it sounds like shit anyways.

If I could I would clean it up but I can't.

and the guy who released it (the torrent) was like "DONT
CONVERT THIS TO MP3 , KEEP IT FLAC"

When I read that I was expecting fuckin' a quality. It's not
the worse I've heard but it's not worth the flac
download/archive.
