Just got back in town after directly leaving the show and
driving all night. Great show - Ae is very danceable live;
so I did (with wild abandon). Got the gray Ae Untilted
shirt.

I actually got a large shirt. I was the handsome guy with
the big muscles. And no, I was NOT dancing with that fat guy
in the skirt thank you very much.

Seriously though, amazing amazing show. Ae played for about
an hour and a half and were beautiful. The Orange Peel
really has a very good PA system. I was dancing most of the
show until the last song when I went to get some water, so I
didn't notice that the floors were shaking from the bass all
the way in the back. If felt really natural to dance to the
music, but as I watched the other people going at it during
the last song it seemed really strange that people could
actually be dancing to this. We are really weird.

Did you meet the Jasons? More importantly, were they dancing
with each other?

Was one a fat dude in a skirt and the other a little guy in
red? If so, then yes. If no - maybe. But of course, there
were a fair number of (I presume) homosexual gentlemen
dancing around me. Were you there fleetmouse?

(That's not an insinuation fleetmouse - not that there is
anything wrong with being a homosexual gentleman and all of
that you know)

It's never too late. Actually I was suprised by the large
gay population in Asheville. I live in Charleston S.C. and
we have been called "the San Fransico of the South", but I
think Asheville has a much more visible gay population. When
I was gassing up for the trip home at 2 AM a "lady" with a
full beard pulled up in her giant redneck truck wearing camo
fatigues. I shit you fucking not. Were did she get the hair
for the beard is what I want to know.

that's interesting... i have a friend who recently moved to
charleston, who said it was very conservative there.

It is conservative compared to Asheville - maybe. We are
"conservative" in gerneral, but our conservative
Episcopalians like to booze it up with the best of them. I'm
an abberation - I'm a fucking weirdo of course.

it's all relative, yeah... i live in ny, so charleston
might be "conservative" to someone like me...

Epohs and I kept trying to guess which one was you. I saw
the man in the skirt. We were looking for someone that
looked like Beethoven. It was a great show.

on tour this year?? Didn't they hit New york?

I was over on the bar side of the floor most of the show.
Blue shirt and kaki shorts and tennis shoes. Kind of a
normal "jock" locking fellow maybe to some people.

That's horrible. I actually bought my ticket to this show
a couple of months ago when I was unemployed, but I managed
to make it.

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say "hello" then. I
wish someone was holding a little sign saying "Xltonic" or
something so we we could meet.

Awesome, Empiricus.

I moved right up front near the stage on the bar side about
halfway through the show. I probly stood right beside you.

Someone up there kept farting and it was nasty. That wasn't
me I promise.

It's funny that the most noteworthy thing you mention about
asheville is it's abundance of gayity.

:D
