I'm getting a record player (or is "deck" a cooler word?!)
for my birthday. I've never heard anything on vinyl, so my
question to the people who have is...

Is the quality of sound better than CD? What do you think is
better?

What I mean is, does Aphex stuff sound "better" on Vinyl. I
hope you know what I mean :-)
I want to get the vinyl's of HAB/HAB2/GAK/AB2 ect and I was
just interested :-)

here are some viewpoints:

but it seems like some of the people there don't have a clue
what they are talking about.

Thanks Fat Kaimo!

I apologise if my thread seemed like a joke.

I'm thinking you guys thought it was a joke because of that
CDs VS Vinyl post. I didn't see it! Sorry!!

i really think vinyl sounds much better than cd. its more
organic..cd could play much better quality but they make the
quality not so good because they produce so many of them

old music sounds better on vinyl becouse it was produced to
sound good on vinyl.
not a cd.

most of the music i have is on cd. there two reasons for
this: 1. the wearout of cds is much lower than the wearout
of vinyl and 2. i'm really lazy to get up from my desk to
change the record.
