I was going alone until I teamed up with 010101. Any other
lone xlters want to join up and have a great real life
meeting?

What time do the doors open? I work until 10:30, but its
only a couple blocks away (if autechre start before then, I
am not going to go)

your attitude should be that if ae play before then you
leave work early

I've seen them already in the past. I would like to go, but
its not work missing two and a half hours of work. Then the
ticket costs me an extra $25

Points: 1562 Status: Regular | Followup to Taxidermist: #01597081

okay honestly
doors: 8:00
opener start: 9:00
opener finish:1:00
ae on 10:30

this is totally made up

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2005-05-12 22:30 [#01597083]
Points: 9958 Status: Lurker

Well, my experience says opener starts at around 9, feature
on at 11/12. But I am wondering how many people will be
opening. If its two, then I will definately be able to see
all of the show. If its just one, I will probly miss some of
autechres set. Then its not worth it for me.

yeah youre right
alright, ill raise a flag when ae starts, then you will buy
your ticket based on flag or no flag.

the doors here are at 8.
does it really take 4 or 5 hours of waiting around and
openers before ae go?

here's how it goes
our doors opened at 9 i think
we got there at 10 (this is detroit, no alky served after
2am)

rob hall was on
then SND came on about 1030, played till 1130 i think
then rob hall came on for 30min
and then AE came on for 1.5hours, then rob hall closed
things out

since i am arriving after 5pm will there be any way to
exchange currency? any banks open? Does US Bank (the bank I
use) operate out of Canada? can I get currency here this
afternoon? I planned on paying for the hotel with my card,

i don't think i'm going. too many good shows and too little
money to spend on ae considering i was pretty disappointed
with their latest offering. i'm going to modest mouse, built
to spill, and the caribou/russian futurists/junior boys
show.
