WARP sign Jackson

Warp are chuffed to announce the signing of Jackson, the
hotly-tipped 25-year-old Parisian producer whose
extraordinary music has enchanted the electronic world for a
few years now. Best known for 2003’s ‘Utopia’ single
and his remix of M83’s ‘Run Into Flowers’, Jackson
Fourgeaud is one of the most exciting and original new
electronic talents to emerge from France since Daft Punk. He
describes his wild, romantic electronic pop music as
"antique futurism", a "style orgy" that sounds like nothing
you’ve heard before.

Warp releases the eagerly awaited debut album ‘Smash’ by
Jackson & His Computer Band this autumn, preceded by a
single in the summer. Jackson recorded the album over four
years at home and in various studios in Paris. Vocalists on
the album include his mother, Paula Moore, a successful
singer in the 80s, his young niece, and rap sage Mike Ladd.
In the past, Jackson has remixed Air, Dead Combo, Vanessa
Paradis, Freeform 5, and Pepe Braddock.

This year, Jackson has DJed at three parties in London and
was invited by Luciano to spin at a Cadenza party in Berlin.

Jackson plays at the Vasarely Festival on June 4th in Aix en
Provence.
He is currently working on a live show to be unveiled later
this year.

As long as he doesn't sound like Daft Punk there's a chance
of goodness.

guys / bands to know that its majority of them that i was
speakign about, you know. really, whole french culture is
kinda "soft", so as music. it doesnt bother me as i dont
listen to any french stuff anymore, but i will allways take
my part in discussion, even if you think im prejudice, which
im not as i said at start of my post, so i think i will just
end my post right now.

I like both michael jackson AND daft punk. Please refrain
from mentioning either of these two artists in a negative
light, lest I have to track down your IP and kick your nose
in.

(unless you are talking about michaels pedophelia, because
that is true, not just some shity geeks opinion. Its also
funny to talk about.)

..Might as well call it Johnson, or Anderson, or Nelson, or
Peterson or something like that.
