That's a good point, I don't really care about what other people think about the analords as long as I enjoy them myself. :)

I dunno, i've barely listened to the analord stuff i've downloaded (so i suppose this might be completely invalid) but the only word that immediately springs to mind for them is bland. I've not heard anything that let me have a good old chinstroke, i've not heard anything that makes me want to go all Mr. Waggly Arms, and i've not heard anything that's actually grabbed my attention.
It's a shame, after a long spell away from the older end of rich's stuff you tend to go back with a new respect. I suppose aphex has always been a bit patchy, but lord knows he's made some fucking corkers. That remix of "normal", for example... shiiit. He can do quality tunes, i'm just wondering where they've all disappeared to.

its fucking stupid to genralise and say "analord is bollocks" when you havent given the WHOLE series (which isnt out yet) a good listen.. of course there are some classics amongst the releases.. and it IS different.. the production is soo sweet with that analogue gear.
people say its like listening to something there mate's made but thats bollocks (unless your friends with rdj) - what you mean is the gear sounds dated, but the music doesnt. the intro to afx 04 acid is fucking awesome... nearly all the beats in the series are so funky.. no other producer in the world could emit this series and im not arsed what you say to that - its about the fucking MUSICIAN.
half of you rdj bashers prolly just dloaded a handful of mp3s and deem the series shit. some people are so ungrateful.. i mean 5 quid for 4 or so afx trax... there aren't many better musicians around today imo.
if you dont like it just dont complain for fucks sake.

analord is good it is even better on vinyl than on flac it is much better with big speakers allowing you to deafen yourself with the insane bass
but i know what everyone is on with the "it sounds bland" comment, honestly it lacks a bit of the jump to your ears feeling
but i think it adds to the charm, it's like old afx matured a bit, more thought out and more subtle
one thing i'm sure, it's that they're all are growers, if they continue to grow on me like that maybe i'll listen to them all my life :D

This is a pretty forced analogy but I see the Analord series as like Richard was a painter shifting from using colour to using black and white. Sure it seems really different at first, but then when you get deeper into it, you can appreciate it for what it is, more subtle and mature.

if A2 AFX - Trojan.KillAV.E.mp3 is not aphex, the guy who made this, please reveal yourself, i love you.
aphex still hasn't admitted that he has made analords. and, if i remember, he never admitted to GAK autorship, and even if he was GAK and hasn;t admitted to this i'd say he wouldn;t admitted to Analords authorship as well.

On Rephlex.com when Analord 10 was out, it said 'produced and recorded by Richard D James' or something along those lines.
He hasnt confirmed it himself though to my knowledge. I wonder when his most recent interview is from, seems like years ago.

Of course it's AFX (whch he has claimed ownership too); listen to those repeated hand claps that are present back in Polygon Window - Polygon Window.
Trojan.KillAV.E. is definately AFX too; it's 1 min 8 secs of the best music I've ever heard.

Yeah I can't believe anyone is questioning the validity of these Analord 9 samples.
PWSteal is some really awesome Nintendo style music Trojan.KillAVE is like Cilonen meets Druqks W32Aphex is like xmd5a but with somekind of serious sad vibe.
BackdoorNetshadow is like Fenix Funk but crazier.

Sorry was that your opinion? It sounded like you were whining. Also, please enlighten us about 9 and 11 then, or point me in the direction of some better sounding music being produced at the moment. Do you have any?
